kei17 posted this in another thread and it got me thinking
I think the score was replaced after once Nagasaki, who was in charge of the music placement, placed the Yamamoto pieces, so at least we can ask him what pieces were to play in the last two episodes.
So is it possible? Can someone contact Mr. Nagasaki and see if he'll say what pieces were to be placed in which scenes for the last few episodes? 98 may not be included, but hopefully it will.
Hope to see if someone can contact him and get a reply soon!

You know, that would actually be really cool. Too bad most of us don't have Nagasaki's contact info.

I think it's possible, but I can't tell you if he answers. I once asked him why the replacement score is horribly limited, and he answered to me very
privately. Since it was private, I can't write his answer here.

Anyway, here's a link to his Twitter account.

As in you can't give us any hints as to what he said, or you can't tell us word for word?

That's a little bitter sweet but still useful.
I really wanna know if The Victor's Dance or The Braveheart's Return was played in 96's ending scene (or if it all), or if it was different track altogether.

Speaking of the replacement score story, I can tell you the simple fact he said because it's pretty predictable. They have no budget for Kai anymore, so they can't pay for JASRAC or Columbia to use the all pieces. But if you tell everyone about the original music placement order, people will start making "The Original Version" or some fan projects like that, and they will spread around the Internet. That would be rude to Nagasaki and he even could be branded as a traitor by Toei.

Oh, okay. That's pretty understandable.

Wow, so we can confirm absolutely that #96-Extra were at one point scored with Yamamoto's score? Interesting...
