Like many of you, I miss Kenji Yamamoto's musi...okay, well, I think the problem is technically that it wasn't *his* music, but I miss the music that is collectively known as the "Yamamoto Score." Overall, I think it fits Kai so much better than the rushed and hurried Kikuchi mix that they came up with. Not that I don't like Kikuchi--I love his music too, but not the particular mixing decisions that were made with his music with regard to Kai (hence my term, "the Kikuchi-Kai Mix"). In spite of that, there are a few places here and there where I prefer the Kikuchi-Kai Mix, rare though they may be. One of those moments would be when Goku becomes a Super Saiyan for the first time.
How about any of you? Any moments where you prefer the Kikuchi-Kai Mix over the Yamamoto Mix?

Episode 96, where Gohan defeats Cell. The entire episode has PERFECT placement of great Kikuchi pieces. It's probably my favorite episode of Kai.

I haven't seen a lot with the Kikuchi score, but I can say I like the sudden stop of the music when Trunks slices Freeza in half. I also loved Episode 96.

You know, the moment that stands out for me is when Piccolo and Kami fuse together. I honestly thought every placement within that scene was extremely well done and I remember getting chills when, after the brief silence, the music kicks in again once the newly-powered Piccolo takes flight to combat Cell. It was very well done and it sure got my approval! Dare I say I actually like it a bit more than the original 
My one and only nitpick is that it probably could've used a bit of silence when Piccolo and Kami stare each other down before the fusion, but it's only very minor, as the music still seemed quite appropriate with it's foreboding ambience.

After watching 95 with Kikuchi I must say the scene were Goku used his translocation is very well handled

At first I was iffy with the Kaikuchi (not a misspelling, I did that intentionally) mix; but, as I was watching it on Nicktoons it grew on me and as PenguinTruth said, 96 had amazing score placement in terms of this replacement score.
