The score for Hyper Dimension on SNES has always fascinated me; it doesn't sound anything like other DBZ music. Hell, it doesn't sound like any other music I'm familiar with at all!
Until just now, I was under the impression that Kenji Yamamoto composed the music for the game as he has with just about every DBZ game before the current generation. That made things even weirder since he has a clearly recognisable style and this is a huge departure from it.
Upon actually checking the credits for the game, though, I found that Yamamoto wasn't credit at all... at least, not directly. Turns out it's one of those games where almost everyone is credited under a pseudonym. The "composer" credit is given as "Takano, Nakajima, Tonkupon, Chatrita." The only other info I've been able to find about any of these is that "Takano" is also credited for "Sound Design" in Super Saiya Densetsu. It's the only audio credit given, so one can assume that this person composed and arranged the entire soundtrack for that game.
Does anyone else have any idea how to find out more about these people? Surely this can't be the only music work they've done...

Re: The Hyper Dimension composers
I did a search on it and there's very little information about it. One site says the composer is Go Takano (高野豪).

Re: The Hyper Dimension composers
I never realized this until now. I've always assumed Kenji Yamamoto did the composition for the game. I know for a fact that he did an arrangement for the soundtrack ( http://vgmdb.net/album/476 ). But they say he was also the original composer, which we know isn't true. I have a high quality rip of the game's actual BGM as heard in the Super Famicom game, and according to the person who ripped it for me, the composers are "Takano", "Nakajima", "Tonkupon" and "Chatrita". If I type in these names at the VGMdb site, I get multiple results for Takano and Nakajima, but nothing for the other two names.
Maybe you'll be able to find more info there: http://vgmdb.net/db/main.php
Hope this helps!
