If you even care about VHS...

Rightstuff.com has lowerd its prices of the Dragonball VHS to around 5 bucks a tape. I really do not care, but its there if you want it.

VHS is really on its last legs, I can't really see why anyone would bother anymore.

Uhhh...HELLO! To enjoy dubbed DBZ at its non-digitally remastered finest? It's vintage! No commentaries and interviews, none of that switching to the original dub crap or scene selections... Ahh the memories. 8)

Seriously though, that's still a rip-off considering I can pay $4.99 in stores AFTER TAXES, and rightstuff.com is A) a website and B) American. They should be charging like $2-3.

Yeah, Rightstuf is really only a good place to shop if you are:

A) Big on Pre-Orders over a month in advance (great discount especially if you have a membership)
B) Cashing in on a Studio sale (Which the membership also helps)
C) Hunting through the Weekly Specials and the DVD Bargain Bin

Considering I can get DBZ DVDs at Gamestop for $4.99 - $6.99, and I'm attempting to update my entire DBZ VHS collection (small as it may be), and fill in the holes with DVDs, this is futile.

Still... there may be a member or two that doesn't have a DVD player yet.

(Remembers back to the time when one of the big arguments out there was that "no one" had DVD players, and so there was still a legitimate place for digitally traded fansubs.)

Good times, good times.

Its actually impossible to find DBZ DVD's in shops in Ireland and you do NOT want to know the cost of manga here.

The only way to get them is off the internet and £6-£8/€9-€10.
I know the feeling of being severly ripped off (One shop even charged me £9 for a GN, but heh, what could I do? I have no other way to get them and I really like the manga.).

I was speaking from my standpoint.

At the moment I still haven't replaced many of my DBZ videos with dvd, but that's becuase I'm cheap. That and it was to me at the time, better to tape the first two seasons (mostly) of CN than buy the video (At the time, there weren't a lot of dvds).

The sad thing here is I managed to get DB season 1 and DBZ season 1 and 2 completely on VHS for around $10 for DB (2 eps and 3 on vol 6), and $15 for DBZ VHS taoes each (3-4 eps each) well before the DVDs were evenn announced! I even had the Gunyu and most of the "Freeza" set and th trunks VHS tapes. Thankfully I sold em to a pawn shiop before the respective DVD releases.

But yes VHS = dead

VHS is still alive? Damn, what a warrior! The only videos I have in my house are old ones and tapes, even my grandparents have a DVD player now.

The S: I see that Dues Ex's idea of avatars are no longer all that original now.

Yeah, my avi was partially inspired by Deus' contriversial images. The other part of inspiration was my getting tired of 14-year old fangirls posting bigass banners (on other boards of course) telling people to support shounen-ai.
