Holy crap! 129 dollars? These might get rare like the Dragon-Boxes.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128
Still recording Toonami broadcasts on VHS after all these years!

What the hell's up with Amazons price? Part 4=$129 jesus since when did part 4 become the new Dragon Box 2? I know where i'm not getting part 4 from.
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out.

Well, they still have a new (third party seller) DBZ Kai Part Four Blu-ray version for $65.
And I thought I was paying too much when I bought this at the time when it came out.
These Blu-rays (and DVDs) will get also rare due to containing the original Kai music by Yamamoto, oh, add there Raging Blast 2 too.
Never knew my DB stuff would go OoP.

FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

If thats the case then wouldn't it make more sense to actually drop the price instead of raising it in order to phase these sets out at a faster pace because as far as i'm concerned raising the price on these sets will have more of the reverse effect than anything else.

I figured the score change was the issue, but I don't think the Yammamoto score is something that deserves to make the old Kai sets get collector's item prices, even if you could technically prop them up that way.

They never sold Kai Part 4 in Best Buy or Wal-Mart in my area. I had to double dip and get the Part 3 + Part 4 combo pack from Wal-Mart to get the Part 4 episodes.

It's because Dragon Ball Kai's intended music originally was composed by Kenji Yamamoto, and then after the scandal, it got a replacement music from the original DBZ series (which I adore its music by Kikuchi).
I hope my DB:RB2 copy features Yamamoto's International Soundtrack at least, since the original DBZ music is never used on international DBZ games.

I know, I was just hoping that the Yammamoto score doesn't make those prints of the episodes collector's items. Sounds like that may be starting to happen.

From here on, I'm calling my copies of parts 3 and 4 "limited edition collector's editions".

Kentai wrote:Son Gokuu is a fascinating character anyway, because he is - at face value, anyway - an idiot savant. The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Oh man, if I had the cash I would grab a Blu-Ray while it's still available. I've got 1-3, but I've been putting off getting 4. And it was so cheap a few weeks back! I just haven't had an opportunity to pay for it...
