DBZ TV Specials - FUNimation Discs
DBZ TV Specials - FUNimation Discs
I just picked up the Bardock & Trunks specials from Amazon.com. One used one new, but they are the original Funi Singles for a total of 12 BIG dollars. Are these out of print ? After viewing the cropped encodes I sought these out as even the Blu-ray release wasn't doing it for me. If the Dragon Box the movies see the day of light will these be included ? As If I am correct they were released with the Z sets in Japan....

The singles are out of print, but I don't think they'll get hard to find any time soon.

Out of Curiosity how does the double feature compare with FUNimations original release?

For the specials? They were cropped, so for me that's enough to prevent me from ever purchasing them.Daimo-Rukiri wrote:Out of Curiosity how does the double feature compare with FUNimations original release?
I still don't own the specials, but when I do buy them, if we don't have Dragon Box counterparts of them, I'm buying FUNimation's old singles.

Aside from the cropping; they are better quality wise. They are the most complete (incomplete due to widescreen) versions of the TV Specials.Daimo-Rukiri wrote:Out of Curiosity how does the double feature compare with FUNimations original release?

There is also some minor differences between either adding in new lines or taking away old lines, such as the "Long Live Lord Frieza!" shout from the crowd of minions behind Bardock which was in the double feature but not the original single.
