Ironically, it's also my birthday!

Does this mean I can now perform the Kamehameha?

(does the exact amount of grunting/posing/wording for the attack)
(watches as a statue of the Hawaiian king pops out of his hands)

The attack name came from Toriyama's wife, actually. He was stumped on a name and she suggested "Kamehameha".

As far as I know "hame" means panel, wainscoting, or plight and not destruction. Hence the meaning 'Turtle destruction wave' doesn't fit. Besides, 'ha' doesn't mean wave either, as far as I know.

In the interviews and such where he describes how he names the attack, his wife just said something like "How about 'Kamehameha'?".

And "ha" doesn't necessarily mean anything. It's said when using an attack.

Actually, 波 does mean 'wave'.
