Rarity of older games
I was at a small local convention today and I managed to get a mint, complete copy of Buu Yuu Restuden for Mega Drive (complete with survey card!) for $10. I know that's an awesome deal, but I was wondering how rare some of these older games are. Besides the prices on eBay, how much have you seen the Famicom/Super Famicom/Mega Drive games going for?

I typically see the Super Famicom games (either with or without box, it doesn't seem to matter) going for the $60-70 range at American conventions.

Ultimate Battle 22 (Japanese or French Version) and Legends are both worth around 45/50 euros (that's about 60 US Dollars I believe).
The Saturn Shin Butohden game is worth around 60 euros.
A mint condition Hyper Dimension (Japanese version) is worth around 45 euros.
Both Game Boy games are not worth less than 70 euros each (with or without the boxes).
Both Playdia games are worth between 100 and 120 euros each.

The résistance dies but never gives up.

This is why I wish they'd re-release these older games on compilation discs for modern systems. Right now my only choices to play them is to either obtain them illegally or go broke.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Good deal. I managed to snag a copy of Super Gokuden off of eBay for $15.00.Mizugi wrote:I was at a small local convention today and I managed to get a mint, complete copy of Buu Yuu Restuden for Mega Drive (complete with survey card!) for $10. These sorts of deals don't come around too often, it would seem.
The original Final Bout (not the Atari re-release) is considered old, and collectable, which is why it fetches hundreds of dollars, even without the original inserts. It was one of 13 that they had in stock (Final Bout).
And UB22... no... not really.
That would be nice from a player standpoint, but collectors like to get the game, with the case, etc.The S wrote:This is why I wish they'd re-release these older games on compilation discs for modern systems. Right now my only choices to play them is to either obtain them illegally or go broke.
Either way though, like you said, it would be cheaper.
