Did Kai look this amazing on TOEI HD?

I know Kai was an HD remaster but did it look THIS good:

Because I thought the Blurays would be that quality, but when I got Part 6 on Bluray it looks not that different from the DVDs. And there's TONS of videos on YouTube and other sites with that level of quality, so I'm asking, is that what Kai looked like on FUJI TV or are these filtered with some median and sharpen effects?

Well, this is obviously cropped from 4:3 to 16:9 and mirrored to avoid being caught by Youtube's video identification system.

I'm watching my 720p MKV rip of this episode (Episode 29), so my video isn't lossless in quality, but neither is this Youtube video. I'll play the two side-by-side and edit my post once I've taken a few minutes to compare them.

Hmm...Oddly enough the lines look a bit sharper and more defined compared to my version, and the colors look a bit deeper (?) as well.

Yeah, I think it has a filter. A lot of users place filters over their clips.

It's not just YouTube videos but a lot of websites (I can't really go into detail obviously) that have Kai episodes have the same quality.

Doesn't really look that good at all, to me, then again YouTube and YouTube DB Uploaders tend to "improve" something with the video software they have to make it seem better than the original video.

Stick to the Kai Blu-rays and FUNi's DBZ Level 1.1 and 1.2, till the whole Z series is in 1080p HD BD.

They got this from AnimeClipse, the reason it looks like this is because they applied so many filters to make it look "HD" when it just looks like utter crap.

Sweet... Shitty filters as usual. What you really need to check out are the 35 mm episodes in HD. Those looks amazing, even with their slight DNR'ed image.
