Tired of All Saiyans Going SSJ3 & SSJ4?

You bet I am. After seeing Broly, Future and Present Trunks in SSJ3 form in Dragon Heroes, I feel the transformation isn't special anymore and it ruins the feeling of uniquity. That goes to fanfics that show the characters almost instantly transform into SSJ4 or even SSJ5. Even Gotenks in Young Jijii's DBAF was shown to be SSJ4. I'm sick of this. Where's the originality? How about you guys?

I think the legend was kind of ruined, but it was a shitty legend in the first place and it's better as a branching series of transformations.

GT/Future Trunks getting it is a bit hard to swallow, especially when they weren't even given Super Saiyan 2.

I thought it was built up somewhat well with Nappa's first mention of it, to the Grand Elder asking Kuririn about it, then Vegeta and Ginyu's talks of it. Yeah, it wasn't the greatest, but I thought they built it up well.

A super saiyan was so cool against Frieza. The legend, the fear in Frieza's eyes and the personality that came with it making Goku a badass. They got it right with Trunks' appearance too, that is one of my favourite parts of the series. Then the Androids came and even though Vegeta ascended it seemed cheap how a human could create a machine that could best Frieza easily. In DB Androids were pathetic, they should have stayed that way although Cell was genius.

I think they should have left Super Saiyan to one potential transformation but had Gohan special who could somehow unlock a hidden ascension.

When it got to Buu it got just plain silly. Kids transforming (I don't care for the parents strength excuse), the kids going SSJ3.

Don't get me started on DBGT. That can jog on.

Why take them so seriously? There are only 2 SSJ3 in the series, the ones in the video games are "what-ifs", how would they look like if they were SSJ3. But they aren't, and will never be in the story. As for the fanficts, don't take them seriously too. They are just fanficts, they don't affect the official franchise in any way.

This is how I see it. They are just what ifs. It isn't in the manga or anime depending on what your canon is, so it is like a different universe where they can go SSJ3. It is keeping Dragon Ball in the public eye and bringing something new to the game. Just sit back and enjoy the pretty pictures. If you don't like 'em just don't look.

I like all the what-ifs. It's something different and it gives us new things to see/play. After 10 years of Dragonball games, one gets tired of playing/seeing the same characters over and over. So if they wanna give a character a new power up to spice it up a bit? Hell, I don't mind.

Looking back at the early arc of Dragon Ball Kai / Z, Raditz with his long hair was a sign that more of them were coming, but in blonde/yellow colour.

Goku SSJ3/SSJ4 but every Saiyan going SSJ3/SSJ4 it just loses the exclusivity and uniqueness.

I also don't really mind them giving Saiyans new forms, though this one irks me a bit for personal reasons. I'd prefer if they created new characters, like Chilled, instead of forms, but I won't complain either way.
