I was wondering, did Piccolo's power increase when he was brainwashed by Dr. Uiro in DBZ Movie 2? He did seem to give Gokuu a bit of trouble, although that may be because Gokuu just didn't want to hurt him.
Also, when Gohan's anger exploded to the point that it frightened even Dr. Uiro, do you think he surpassed Gokuu? Or it was just that Uiro could sense Gohan's lack of control of his power, in contrast to the stronger yet concentrated power of Gokuu's Kaiouken, and/or how much damage it could do to his lab?

DBZ Movie #2 strengths

Probably not, I mean there is no reason to believe it did. This was during the time Piccolo was considered "the rival turned ally" so he got special treatment in the movies. If this was supposed to be a throwback to their match from the 23rd TB, then they should be close in strength.
As for Gohan, maybe. For no other reason that he almost always seemed to surpass those around him with his anger boosts.

Seems like Piccolo just got buffed in this movie, because the power levels don't really fit the main continuity well.
Gohan would have to get a pretty huge buff to surpass Goku's Kaio-ken, but his rage is unpredictable, so it's possible that he did.

I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I always thought this one would work better before the arrival of Radditz, if it weren't for Kaioken and the Spirit Bomb.

We're not talking about that, and besides, the movies aren't meant to fit into the main continuity anyway. They're side-stories, or take place in alternate universe. Basically, they're for fun.mister yummy wrote:I always thought this one would work better before the arrival of Radditz, if it weren't for Kaioken and the Spirit Bomb.
