Battle Point Unlimited question

Post by Hades » Sun Apr 22, 2012 1:41 pm

Given that this is one of the most infamous allegations of plagiarism wrt DBZ's music, did Toei remove this piece from the original Kikuchi score, and if so, what did they replace it with?

It was not replaced, but on all the new CDs it has been taken off.

As far as I know, it hasn't been released on any CDs except for DBZ Hit Song Collection VI. It wasn't included even on the Chou-zenshuu CD Box, which contains almost all of the DBZ songs, released way before the scandal.

The collection releases simply didn't include any of the songs that did not have any vocals.

I too thought that way, but Complete Song Collection 1 and the Chou-zenshuu box include Solid State Scouter, which is an instrumental with some sampling-like voices which are different than something called vocals. Anyway, a piece of music that plays in the actual show being never re-released on any CDs feels kinda odd to me. Maybe they're just sloppy that they forgot the song though.

There's a few songs on the CDs that seem to only be there because they have voices in them (either talking, or voice samples).
