Alternate DVD covers

I've started collecting more and more DBZ DVD's, and am wondering if anyone else is as annoyed at the cover design as I am?

First off, there's no real way to index them easily other than by stringing the episode numbers on the back. Second, since funimation plans to redo the first season, all the episode numbers will now be off (meaning the original japanese episode #'s will be the proper convention). Third, wasn't it a lot better with what Pioneer was doing, with the sides of the DVD's forming a cool picture?

I looked at dvdcoverart.com for some alternate covers, and normally they have a lot of great ones but for DBZ there's suprisingly only 3 or 4.

Would anyone be interested in working with me to design some cool alternate high resolution slilpcovers that are printable? Maybe we can even take a page out of the Dragonbox designs. *shrug* Anyone game?

Pioneer only did the side image with VHS tapes, they didnt do that with the DVDs either, since the case opens,m one side can't hold such a thing.

But anyway, yes it'd be nice to have a numbering system on the DVDs with alternate images, if I had any skill in this sort of thing I';d offer my help, but my DVD cover designs arent usually that great.

Madman have a very servicable numbering system. Sorta works like Star Trek: TNG.

Season 1 (pioneer) is Volumes 1.1-1.17 (saiyan/namek)
Season 2 (Captian Ginyu, Frieza, Garlic) is 2.1-2.15
Season 3 (Trunks + DVD version of burger king tape, Androids, Cell-Cell Games) 3.1-3.24
Season 4 (Saiyaman, World Tournament, Babidi, First two majin Buu) 4.1-4.14
Season 5 (Rest of Buu, Fusion, Kid Buu) 5.1-5.17

I'd assume the reason they didn't put any numbers on was.... wait... I really don't know.

THough I don't own any of the US DVD, I probably intend on getting them at SOME point so having alternatives would be cool. I'm up for helping.
