Where the edited lines sounded better than the uncut.

Post by Gonstead » Fri May 11, 2012 9:11 am

I only know of one at the beginning of Episode 56 but to me it sounded better than what was present on the uncut DVD.

"That was a bad move kid!" vs "Now you're going to die!"

The edited line also sounds much better acted than the uncut which sounded wonky.

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

Can't remember which episode it was exactly but it was sometime during Goku vs Frieza, Goku said..

Uncut: See you in Hell Frieza!
Edited: Goodbye Frieza!

Oh, I cringe at Goku's uncut line, very odd for him to say that, and Sean Schemmel's delivery for the edited line was slightly better I think.

The funny thing is, he does eventually see him in Hell.

No he doesn't. We're talking about Kai in this part of the board.

Yamcha in Episode 58:
Edit line: 'What'd ya think about a training expedition?'
Uncut line: 'How 'bout we go on a training field trip?'

...Why?
GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.

Uncut: "Piccolo has been brought down..."
TV: "Piccolo draws breath no more..."

Although its easy. You guys forgot to splice it in the Original dub vs. Kai. Here's mine with Jinzoningen #18 when she is about to be absorbed by Cell.

TV: You Freak!!
DVD: Damn you Cell!!

Here's my Toonzai version on Freeza when he kills Dende. Like seriously, you forgot to add three lines: Uncut, Nicktoons, and Toonzai.

TV Net: Bye Bye!
Jelo Gutierrez Cantos (Dr. Fresh)
I'M GONNA BREAK YOU, LIKE A KIT-KAT BAR!! - TFS Goku. (have a Break, have a Kit Kat Freeza!)
