Interesting Question about Half Saiya-jins

Everybody knows about the after battle recovery thing with the saiya-jins, how they grow strong according to their injuries or near death. But do half saiya-jin half humans posses this ability? Becuase Gohan got pretty screwed up by Recome, and when Goku gave him a senzu bean he never got any stronger. And when Trunks was badly beaten and by the androids and then Gohan gave him a sensu bean, he never got any stronger.

I'll have to agree with Wukong on this, but not in so few words.

I think that, since you noticed that they've never increased in strength during those incidents, we can assume that it isn't heridetary, or part of their genetic makeup as half Saiyans. You noticed that this does not happen, so, in short, you have answered your own question on the matter.

Gohan said he felt stronger when he was healed by Kibito after having all of his energy drained

Actually, Gohan was shown to be stronger when he attacked Freeza the first time when he gored Kuririn and left him for dead. Vegeta even noted it, then said it out loud later when he was spouting off to Freeza that he'd become a Super Saiyajin finally.

Yeah, I remember that. But that was just rage. I dont think that had anything to do with him being stronger after a battle.

Gohan DID get stronger in both cases, Trunks' scene was filler.

While Gohan was angry when he attacked Second Form Freeza that time, he was also angry during the battle against Recoome at one point and still got his ass kicked. It's fairly obvious he got a power-up along the way.

Vegeta: "Just like the Saiyan he [Gohan] is, his battle strength went up after he went through all that." Page 160, DBZ Volume 9.

It's right after Gohan cools down from seeing Krillin almost die and 2nd Form Frieza wails on him for a while.

So, at least Gohan has that ability.
