Daizenshuu 5 & 6 Obi Slips
I've been doing quite a bit of research lately about some of the special presents that were available when the Daizenshuu were originally released so that we can highlight them in the appropriate section on the site. However, the internet can sometimes only get you so far. So to help solve the final riddle, does anyone out there have the original obi (colored bands around the book pictured below) for either Daizenshuu 5 or 6? Sadly, I'm missing mine... If so, would you be willing to scan or take photos of them for me? Any help is appreciated.

Re: Daizenshuu 5 & 6 Obi Slips
Last night I realized that the information I was looking for on the obi's was also printed on the back of both of the daizenshuu's "Shenlong Times" pamphlets. So, mystery solved!
And with that, all of my fun research has now been added to the Daizenshuu section of the "Databook Guide". It's nice to finally know where this large character poster came from!

Oh my... I like that picture. Is it strange that I've never seen it before?

I had no idea that poster was official work. O_O
All this time I had thought it was a really good fan-made Photoshop collage.

I know I said I would scan it after work. But I got home late so... some time this weekend.

Re: Daizenshuu 5 & 6 Obi Slips
I know, right? For years all anyone has known about it is that it was the foldout poster for the "TV Animation Part 3" supplemental daizenshuu. I noticed we had recently discussed the poster at length this last February, and the topic has come up over and over again through the years. Since then I had wondered how some people had much larger versions of the poster, considering that the foldout posters in the books aren't all that big. I know it's also available as a wallscroll on the internet, but I'm pretty sure that's a bootleg.Chuquita wrote:I had no idea that poster was official work. O_O

That's fine. I'm in no hurry at this point.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:I know I said I would scan it after work. But I got home late so... some time this weekend.

I just realized that poster has a partial image of Hatchihyack's super form...so clear artwork for it does exist, though we'll probably never see anything beyond craptastic Playdia footage. lol
