Characters favorite foods?

In a lot of trivia books for manga, it will list the characters favorite foods. However, I can't seem to find any such info for DB characters. Was this ever printed?

The Super Exciting Guide: Character Volume had a bunch.

Goku: will eat anything
Gohan: will eat anything
Goten: pocky, strawberry daifuku
Vegeta: will eat anything
Trunks (teen): convenience store bento
Trunks (kid): yakiniku
Piccolo: water (particularly the thawed ice water in the north area)
Kuririn: Chinese buffet
Yamcha: hard-baked soba
Kame-sennin: home-delivered pizza
Tenshinhan: jiaozi/gyouza [Chaozu gets his name from this food], shumai [Pilaf’s flunkies Shu and Mai are named for this]
Chaozu: tenshindon [another name for tenshinhan, the dish Tenshinhan is named for; anyone else find a weird subtext to them being each other’s favorite food?]
Yajirobe: roast wild pig
Bulma: strawberries
Chichi: Chinese chimaki
Mr. Satan: high-class steak
Videl: okonomi-yaki, Caesar salad

I seem to remember hearing something about Android 17 liking rice (or maybe it was fried rice instead of just rice?) at some point years ago... may have just been a fan-made thing though, as I haven't ever seen that anywhere else since then as far as I can remember.

They might not need to eat but it doesn't mean that they can't enjoy a good meal every now and then.

Because really, life would be kinda boring if you didn't need to survive on food.

I think it's kinda funny that Goten's got a sweet tooth. X3

In relation to the Super Exciting Guide; one of my favorite things on there is where it lists that Tenshinhan's favorite vehicles are the llama and the ostrich. Just imagining super-serious Tenshinhan riding either of those creatures makes me smile. X3
Also, Chi-Chi and the tractor does kind of fit in an odd way. I picture her in one of those big construction tractors just driving around Mt. Paozu. XD

I like how some reflect their personality and/or traits. Kuririn liking the Chinese buffet is a reference to his Chinese monk inspiration. Mr. Satan likes the steak since he's so rich. Videl's is a Cesar salad since it reflects her athleticism as it's pretty healthy. Kinda bummed Gohan's isn't gohan.

I'd figure Gohan's favorite food was dinosaur and apples. Master Roshi's favorite made me laugh. Does anyone have anymore?

Wow, this is great! Thanks for the list. I think it really brings out a certain depth to the characters.

What explains the change? I guess Future Trunks was much less well off, but yakiniku sounds like a pretty upscale food.

Well, I assume Bulma's family are rich, so I guess it makes sense.

Dende explained that they don't eat the sort of food humans do and only need water to survive.

Take note that with Future Trunks' favorite food vs. his younger self, there is a age difference. Taste buds and preferences develop over time.

I'd wager that convenience store bento was practically one of, if not the only thing that future Trunks could eat in his time, perhaps due to all the land and shops being destroyed by the Androids. Which makes you think about how bad his diet would be, but, you know, he's half-Saiyan.

They are regarded as inferior to home made ones. Making fictional character buying them on a regular basis means that he is too busy to take care of private life or, in case of kids, neglected by parents.

Piccolo Daimao, I mean that it's hardly to assume that in case of apocalypse food from store would be his first choice. Guy who can fly and shoot by hands won't be starved, but I guess that she would rather hunt for own food, while finding still operating store would be a special occasion to have a moment of normality.

Who would want to go from yakiniku to bento from a convenience store?

No, I think it's a great way to show the personality differences between the two characters. It's a subtle way of showing how hard life was for poor future Trunks.

I'm guessing the bentos would be mass-produced objects stored in capsules. What a future...
