Wheeee!!

Post by Dayspring » Sun Feb 22, 2004 5:54 pm

As I type this Electronic Playground (a video game critic tv show) is reviewing Budoukai 2.

It's funny because one's a newbie when it comes to DBZ and the other's only exposure to it was when he played Budoukai 1 in order to review it on an earlier ep.

Second guy: "Can someone PLEASE go on our forums and explain to me why they randomly float?!"

1st guy: "It's not random floating, they can fly!"

2nd: "Why? The hell's with that!"

1st guy: "Uh...maye they used the DBs or something. I dunno."

2nd: "And what's with the DBs?! There are seven to collect, SEVEN!!!"

Overall it got a good review. Both said it was like Tekken (which they both love). The main problem they had was that there weren't enough arenas when you start, and (lol) some of the times it sounded like they were getting sworn at.

**Cuts to Krillin: DESTRUCTO DISK!!! Tenshinhan: Dodompa!!!**
2nd: Th' Hell did he just call me? A Dick? And what's a dodompa?!

1st: Maybe Dodompa is too vulgar to be translated.

End of episode gives ratings on 10 for all reviewed games.

Both gave a 6.5 (they were harsh this week! That was a game they both loved!) and for overall notes: "A massive improvement from the first game and a must own for all DBZ, anime and fighting game lovers. The characters need to wash their mouths out with soap however, and keep their mouths shut when they fight because the voiceovers are annoying as hell."

And that's from a non-DBZ lover! Hint hint Funi!

Electrictronic Playground's a joke of a show in my opinion, and they're really bad hosts. :?

What? You dare disrespect Gaming God Tommy Tallarico? (gets out destruction cannon)
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

This show sounds... strange. What channel / time is it on?

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to play the only game I own where you can kill orphans (speaking of which, do they review computer games, such as Fallout 2? Fallout rocks!).

Oh for Heaven's sake! I was kidding! But, I will say just because someone's a great gamer, doesn't mean they're a good host.

Zacko: Would these kids be fangirl orphans? Because if they aren't, stop fooling around and get back to your training! :x

As much as I love Black Isle, the chances of them reviewing a game that's, what, 7 years old, probably aren't that high.

I must remember to pick up the compliation pack though...

I didn't say it was a new review. So, what, is this a fairly new show? Now that you mention it, they couldn't have been around that long...

Black Isle made Baldur's Gate and Fallout. I love Fallout, because you can do things through logic instead of fighting. I even convinced the final boss to commit suicide... :)

No... it's not his gaming skills. Tommy Tallarico is responsible for the music on roughly 43% of the games you play. And the man is funny to boot. Who else actually has discussions on TV about putting GameCube controllers and PS1 screens in your pants?

It's an RPG. It's apparently very good.

Sort of. Bioware mainly made Baldur's Gate. Black Isle did Planescape: Torment. The greatest game that no-one has ever played.

Including me.

So, when is this show on? I don't remember that question of mine being answered...

The show to me sounds kinda dumb. How can they not know about DBZ?

Because they don't watch it, at a guess.

That would be a very good guess.

Ahh! Does nobody know what time / channel it's on? Impossible!

It's on every day here. Dragonball, followed by DBZ, followed by GT. The early morning one (about 2 in the morning) is currently as Ascended Vegeta vs Cell. The afternoon one is somewhere on the Namek saga, I believe. And the morning one is on Saiyan saga. Madness.

And of course, my point was that maybe they don't really want to watch the show at all.
