Re: Looks like Nicktoons is preparing to air the Buu Saga.
I wouldn't count on that just yet. Funimation hasn't even announced that they're dubbing it.
It could just be a normal schedule change-up.

You are right. I might be too excited because I'm too glad Nicktoons has not forgotten DBZKai just yet.

Who cares about Funimation, Toei has yet to officially announce Kai 2.0 lol

Re: Looks like Nicktoons is preparing to air the Buu Saga.
Why would Toei announce Kai 2.0 though? Mayumi Tanaka said that it wasn't being produced for Japanese release but for the international market, much like the later episodes of say Sonic X it's entirely possible these episodes may not turn up in Japan at all. For all we know, Funi'll just announce it at some point and it'll turn up. Not that I expect it to turn up that soon yet, considering that Sean Schemmel recently said on Twitter that he hasn't recorded any Buu arc stuff for Kai yet.

Sean Schemmel @SeanSchemmel
5th January.for the record, I have not been approached by Funi to record upcoming dbz movie. Nor have I recorded any of the buu saga for kai...

Re: Looks like Nicktoons is preparing to air the Buu Saga.
It's entirely relevant. How can Nickelodeon begin airing a show that hasn't been dubbed. The Japanese cast hasn't even finished dubbing it yet.
Where was it debunked?

It's irrelevant because a freelance voice actor knows as much as we do right now. How much do we know? Zilch.Majin Steve wrote:It's entirely relevant. How can Nickelodeon begin airing a show that hasn't been dubbed. The Japanese cast hasn't even finished dubbing it yet.

It has been debunked because the DBZ movie has not even aired in Japan yet, no announcement has been made about licensing, recording, "comments from other threads", etc. Same goes for the Boo arc.
And they aren't airing the Boo arc yet. Nothing has been said about it. Will they? Certainly, but not now.

Re: Looks like Nicktoons is preparing to air the Buu Saga.
Are you being serious? Of course the bit about the movie doesn't pertain to this discussion, it's the bit of the tweet about the Buu arc that matters in this discussion about the Buu arc.
I never said they will air the Buu arc now, infact my whole point of posting that tweet was to refute the fact Nickelodeon are airing it soon, when the tweet clearly shows it is far from ready.
Did I really have to explain that? You actually quoted what I said too. Weird.

Re: Looks like Nicktoons is preparing to air the Buu Saga.
The thread is about the change in Nicktoons schedule. Said change was returning Kai to it's after school time slot. This is a big change from the slot it was at before and shows that they want to keep the show in the public's consciousnesses which is a good sign that the Boo arc will be airing. Not now, not tomorrow, but sooner rather than later.Majin Steve wrote:Are you being serious? Sean Schemmel's tweet just kinda threw in the Boo arc for good measure. That was two weeks ago. It doesn't help that you just kinda threw it in with no explanation as to why you're using it.

Hey, maybe the Japanese and English VAs are in the same studio at the same time.
I can just picture Masako Nozawa stepping from the recording booth, spotting Sean Schemmel on is way in. She smiles warmly and exchanges a few words with her fellow VAs. At first, Sean doesn't understand what they're saying, but they seem to be nodding and smiling as they speak. After a while, Nozawa strides over to Sean, puts her hand out and says, "Oh, Hasselhoff-san, I loved you in Night Rider."

Not only is that quote relevant, but it has not been debunked. You're thinking of a different Sean Schemmel twitter quote. All that quote says is that Funi didn't approach him to do the movie, and he hasn't recorded anything from the Buu Saga of Kai (note that he doesn't say he hasn't been approached about the Buu Saga, however...)AgitoZ wrote: That quote is not only irrelevant, it has also already been debunked...multiple times.
...This sounds like the opening to a rather disturbing fanfiction. One that probably ends with a fogged over recording booth and a few horrible puns.penguintruth wrote:Hey, maybe the Japanese and English VAs are in the same studio at the same time.

I blame the internet for a lot, but ruining my inner child to the point of letting me even say that much is another thing I blame it for, lol.

He didn't say that Funimation didn't approach him. That would imply that they approached someone. They simply haven't.Mewzard wrote:Not only is that quote relevant, but it has not been debunked. Actually, that's exactly what he said. That doesn't MEAN someone else was approached, it just means they haven't gone after the movie quite yet.

Re: Looks like Nicktoons is preparing to air the Buu Saga.
No, you're not grasping what my meaning. "Didn't" and "haven't" mean different things. "Didn't" would imply that they approached someone else, unless it was "didn't ____ yet". "Haven't" just means it hasn't happened yet.
So, while Funimation hasn't approached Mr. Schemmel yet, it doesn't mean they won't, which is what you were saying.

Is pedantry really necessary? you know what he means.
People get so wound up at the slightest implication Sean wouldn't be involved.

Of course I know what it means. But someone else browsing this thread for information might assume, and that's how ridiculous Internet rumors get started.Majin Steve wrote:Is pedantry really necessary? you know what he means.

But anyways, I think we've all agreed that Nicktoons simply scheduling Kai again doesn't mean that the Boo arc is coming soon, and Mr. Schemmel's twitter comments don't mean that he won't be playing Goku in it or the movie.

Yeah, the thread's title is super-misleading and unnecessarily speculative. Editing.
