On Blu-ray you really don't have much choice..
DB Kai Parts 1-4 (Saiyan arc to Friеza's arc) (Or just the original Japanese Kai releases of Saiyan arc to Friеza's arc)
DB Z Levels 1.1-1.2 (Saiyan arc only)

Toei Animation might eventually do their HD Remaster of DBZ but no one knows when that'll be it could be in 5, 10 or 20 years time.

Mr. Herculе doesn't even look glamorous in HD on the Kai Blu-ray version.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

The thread is asking about Non-DVD/BD Releases. :P

What about VCDs, do those count? I think there were some European releases on VCD.

Edit: Couldn't find any footage of the VCD's but here is an AMV that uses them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXDKTjhusj8

If you can nab a high-end Pioneer Laser-Disc player, the Laser Disc releases from Japan are the best non-HD or 480p media you can land.
Not just because of the picture quality increase over VHS, but the separate audio channels that are contained within the disc, that make for clearer audio than a DVD. You also get subs or dual-audio depending on the DBZ movie release in Japan.

ALSO, you get neat huge cover-art for the Laser-Disc. :D As well as frame per frame accuracy, a feature DVD does not give you, unless you purchased a Pioneer DVD-V7400 for your works and screening your pleasures: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1 ... layer.html

That said, the Laser-Discs are expensive, and you be wasting your money on them if you aren't too big on the art.
Just a few weeks ago they were going for 12-14 dollars a piece, now they're 20+, what gives?

Anyways, also a few weeks ago, this guy had his whole collection of DBZ VHS UNCUT on sale for $75 on EbaY, I did not buy it unfortunately. You could probably land some new even, but why?

We might have HD releases coming up, why? WHY?

And the DragonBall Z Levels left a massive positive impression on me, we need MOAR.
That time your teacher asked you to draw Cell in biology class.
This man is my hero:
To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.
