Is there some rule against thread deletion here? There's an old thread I started once upon a time that I'd really like to have wiped out of existence... I've PM'd two different staff members about this, but it's been a few weeks and I haven't gotten a response from either of them, nor has the thread been deleted.
If this can't be done, I'd at least like to know why. Please?

I'm not one of the people you asked, so I'm not sure what your specific situation is. But we generally don't delete threads or individual posts without a very good reason. Spam/nonsense/trolling, legal problems, or privacy/security issues would be the main reasons.
It's also possible whichever staff members you asked have been too busy to look into it. I was pretty inactive myself until just a few days ago.
