Edit: Dragonball Movie #2 release+ Boxset info.

Diamond Comics recently published their December Preview catalouge listing, which for those of you who don't know contains whatever Anime is coming out around those times (give or take a month or so), and often contains a few choice gems that studios havent announced or solicited publically yet (A lot of people found out about Evangelion Platinum this way). A discussion thread on AoD can be found here. Of course, you have to take it with a grain of salt since not everything that gets solicited through there is accurate (such as howl's, which is supposedly due in the spring of '06 or something), but this might interest a few people-

DBZ MOVIES 2-4 DVD UNCUT SRP: $29.98

Now since a re-release of DBZ movies 2 and 3 aren't out yet (and FUNimation would have done singles first, it's not unexpected) and DBZ movie 4 well.. is of no real significance, to be honest, I have a few kick-around theories-

1. It was a mispelling or miscommunication for a DBZ movies 7-9 boxset
2. It is actually Dragonball films 2-4
3. This space for sale.

It's a bit of a head scratcher.

I wouldn't know, but I wish to high heaven they'd hurry and release 2 and 3 so they can go on to 12 and 13. Actually, come to think of it, they released 11 after their Dead Zone redub, so we might not have to wait too long for 12 and 13. I've been aching to see movie 12 for a good long while now, and one of the things that excited me about getting the movie 11 DVD was actually the insert with the upcoming releases listed. But nooo, it doesn't list anything past November, and still lists the August releases even though we're in the middle of September.

Rather confusing since DBZ movies 2 and 3 are the only Z movies requiring a redub. Then of course, DB movie 2 is still unavailable on DVD. I guess you could also count the first DB movie needing to be redubbed, but that won't happen until Kid Mark's license is done.

That is abit of a head scratcher. o_o

I... can sort of see a bit of logic in all of this, in that you can theorise that there's a lot of old, unsold stock of DBZ film 4 and DB film 3 (being 4 wasnt very good, and 3 used a different cast), and if you couple it with DB film 2 (which is technically new), and go "OMG 3 DVDS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE", you get a somewhat-bargin and a new thing and a christmas present..

or something.
