Countering in Butoden games

Post by Insertclevername » Sun Mar 24, 2013 1:00 am

When you counter a blast in the Butoden games, when are you supposed to input your ultimate move? When the screen is on your opponent or for the spit second it's on you?

You have to do when the screen is on you. You'll see your character changing stance, that's the moment you have to input the commands:

Block: away+A
Reflect: away, down+A
Shield: towards, away, towards+A
Counter with your own ki blast: down, away, towards+A

SB1 only:
Dodge: up, down+A

Android 20 Absorv: up+A
Android 18 Shield: up+A

Ahaha, yeah! Just forgot! It was so long I played these games, that I even forgot how to do kamehameha. I remember that it's simmilar to Shoryuken in SF.......
Oh god, I've mastered these games to the limit back as a kid, it's years since I played them. Final Bout and UB22 played the same, that really caught me quickly back then.

Each character has 2 special moves, one is done like: away, down, towards+a & the other is done: down, away, towards+a

I think those are kind of easy to remember. The only ones I had trouble were the other speacial moves each char has.

Yeah, good old Big Bang Genkidama was front+back+down+up+Triangle (or something like that) in Final Bout...
