Seeing how the second game sold poorly then I doubt it. I think they are better off selling new ideas for DB games instead doing a sequel that got mixed reviews and poor sales.

I got back to Raging Blast 2 and I like it, well the original music is really good which makes me go back to it.

Soldiers' Sorrow is a beautiful music track.

If we see another new Dragon Ball console game, it'll more than likely be under a new name/new series. And possibly from a developer other than Spike.

I'd like a Raging Blast 3 too, as I liked RB2 quite a bit; but it's doubtful they'll continue with such a poor performing series. I'd like to be proven wrong, though.

This. I think Nostal had excellent ideas, they should really use them if they go ahead and make RB3.

I don't agree with some of nostral suggestions...

They tend to go more into the graphics and presentation format than into gameplay.

I personally would prefer giant characters to be controllable for one. I also think that defense against attacks should be always real time, and that ultimates should work in the same way as the ones from Sparking, which means you can do the ultimate more than once, but you can't spam it.

Besides that I think characters need more work. Adding ground combat is a must for instance. Team battle mechanics would be nice. Zenkai Battle Royale has some of this, but I think it get's annoying with the sound effects and the arrows pointing to characters. The mechanics shouldn't distract from the game.

Anyway, not counting those things, Nostral's ideas are good.

Not really. Maybe they were trying to market it that way but the game play is far too removed from the Sparking/Raging Blast series.

I don't think giant characters work unless they're scaled down, and I prefer them to be accurately sized. I also think giant battles could be really fun if done well (like the Naruto Storm series).

Why not have them give us a DBZ game that is new and fresh instead of a sequel of a game that most people didn't like. I don't see why people want a third game so badly when people were bitching about how they got tired of the Sparking gameplay by RB2? With Ultimate Blast, they try something different even it did suck.

Nope. It's just that the game play was much more different. Same engine (I think? ), just plays like a rock paper scissors match with mild fighting game elements. The Sparking games had the player much more involved.

I'd consider UB/UT a spin off of the Sparking/Raging Blast series.

I doubt it, but when RB1 was coming out I remember at least of the gamefaqs forums, everyone or most were saying "don't buy until RB3". Well that strategy backfired like it did for US fans who wanted Un5.

I like RB2 but its lack of story mode gave me nothing to do after beating its arcade mode which was just a story mode stripped of exploration and cut scenes/dialog.

I played some of the battle condition stuff but after the third or fourth "tower" it got boring.
