It appears Namco Bandai still lacks DD license

Post by Super Sayian Prime » Tue Apr 16, 2013 3:34 am

Sorry for the compressed title, I ran out of characters!

Despite Dragon Ball Tap Battle existing as a digital-only product it appears Namco Bandai still lacks a license to release their Dragon Ball software digitally on consoles. eShop releases of 3DS software is quite common nowadays, but guess what isn't there? Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission. It's 2013 guys ...

"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I rarely check the main website of Kanzenshuu and now I've become aware that Dragon Ball Z For Kinect is available on Xbox LIVE digitally for $24.99 (US only, iirc).

Of all games this is the one that gets a digital release on Xbox LIVE, I'd have preferred so much more Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure HD Remaster than this one (already bought it).

I have to say that I'm a little upset with this news. :(

DBZ games that could've been released instead of this on Xbox Arcade [and on PSN]:
* Tenkaichi Tag Team HD
* Tenkaichi 2 HD
* Tenkaichi 3 HD
* Super DBZ HD
* Supersonic Warriors HD
* Supersonic Warriors 2 HD
* Legends HD
* Tap Battle HD (Using the controller buttons)
* Infinite World HD (with non-Yamamoto music)

They could do all this but they won't, some aren't lucrative enough so I'd see their point.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Uh, every game you've mentioned would require development as they're not native to the platform ... The best we could hope for is this:

PSN:
- Super Dragon Ball Z (PS2 Classics playable on PS3)
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi (PS2 Classics playable on PS3)
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (PS2 Classics playable on PS3)
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (PS2 Classics playable on PS3)
- Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai (PSP and playable on Vita)
- Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai Another Road (PSP and playable on Vita)
- Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team (PSP and playable on Vita)
- Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit
- Dragon Ball: Raging Blast
- Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2
- Dragon Ball: Ultimate Tenkaichi
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection (probably split up into Budokai and Budokai 3 as separate downloads as well)

XBL:
- Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit
- Dragon Ball: Raging Blast
- Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2
- Dragon Ball: Ultimate Tenkaichi
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection
