Most expensive merch you've ever seen

Post by Ketchup_Revenge » Tue Apr 30, 2013 11:03 pm

Who the fuck has THIS kind of money???
I wipe it off the tile, the light is brighter this time, everything is 3D blasphemy.
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up, this is not the way I picture me.
I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here? Something about this, so very wrong.
I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this. Is it a dream or a memory?

Most expensive I've seen? The Japanese DBoxes I guess (what were they when converted from yen to dollars? Like $500.00 for each of the two Z boxes? I feel like it was around that.)

I remember Mediacom Goku (the one that actually had the three stray hairs and actual cloth-clothes) was supposed to be super-expensive. Like $150 or $200?
Actually glad that it looks like he only comes with his serious-business face, because I'd be super-tempted if regular happy face was an option (like how you can swap faces on those tiny figures whose brand name escapes me atm.)

EDIT: Nendoroid.

Sigh. Now I want a nendoroid ssjg Goku. And there isn't one, and probably won't be. >_<

EDIT: Also looks like Mediacom's made Piccolo, ssj Goku, and Yamcha.
On hiatus.

I honestly believe people post ridiculous prices like that just to get a reaction out of people.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Yeah I would imagine that price is not accurate by any means.

If that ever gets sold, I'm going to eternally face palm.

Wow Ketchup_Revenge, that price is just asinine. That has to be a joke.

I believe the most expensive I've seen are the Japanese Dragon Boxes. I've seen some of those being sold for close to $1000. On Amazon, you can buy a new Dragon Ball GT Dragon Box for as low as $710. If you want to ship it from Japan, the most expensive offer is $3,195. You'd have to be rich or completely insane to buy it from Japan.

There is no way that is ever going to sell, haha. The most expensive I've seen before this is a Piccolo Daimao statue for $1000 or something.

The Medicom Yamcha is custom made from Goku toys, I think. Medicom also did young Gohan and apparently Arale.
