Goku made with HeroMachine

Post by WesMan23 » Wed May 08, 2013 9:43 pm

So, there's a program called HeroMachine that lets you create characters with preloaded items like hair, clothes, etc. I used version 3 to create Goku and it didn't turn out bad.

It isn't perfect but it looks good enough. Took me awhile to get it close. And the Saiya-Jin crest? It was a preloaded item and I just love how badass it looks so I threw it in.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Well, I'd say Goku's eyes aren't emotive enough, and there should be more light being thrown on the environment, but other than that, pretty good :) ! The shading on the hair especially looks good!

Yeah, it's not perfect. The program is a bit limited with some of those things. Like, the shading on the hair is just selecting two colors. There are only so many eyes to choose from, and unfortunately, "angry SSJ" is not one of them. And the hands didn't come out right, but it was the best I had to work with. Maybe with some more practice, I will get better with all of that, and I'll try to re-do it.

Only thing wrong with the hands is that they just need to be switched. Besides that, looks pretty good with how limited the program seems. 8)

I tried making Goku with one of the earlier versions of HeroMachine, I think it was version 2.5, and it came out looking...well, really bad. For the limitations of the program, yours came out looking really good. And I like that you tried to make the background resemble Namek.
