PS2 game ripping

Post by Slickmasterfunk » Thu Oct 13, 2005 10:36 am

I was just wondering how to rip things from a Playstation 2 disc, like the Budokai openings. I already have DVD Decrypter and know how to rip from a regular DVD Video, but not this.

I am not entirely certain if this will help, but awhile back I came across this guide on AnimeMusicVideo's.org: "Quu's Guide to Using Video Game Footage", hopefully it will prove useful for your needs.

The guide's totally irrelevant to anything past 2001.

If you want to get into PS2 video/audio ripping, look into PSSPlex, SFD2MPG, and ADX2WAV. I think. I dunno. I just kinda do it all from memory with command-line and shortcuts... >.>

Damn, I should have verified the information first.

Anyway, sorry I couldn't be of any help.

If you want to rip sounds, you can use PSound best. But sometimes it won't work (refers to Budokai 3 sfx, but it will work fine on the voices).
However if you want to rip videos, you might want to check out Cube Media Player, which also rips sounds.
