Screaming in Dragon Ball

Screaming in Dragon Ball

We know this is a staple in DBZ (and sometimes Dragon Ball), but is it necessary to bring out ki? Is it painful to bring out ki? Does the screaming help bring focus?
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

The screaming pushes out the Ki. If you don't scream you'll simply look constipated, which is worse.
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

Its the same reason why real life martial artists (some of them) scream and emit sound as they attack. It helps bring out the full potential of the attack, by making the fighter focus and by making it easier for him to not hold back. Dragon Ball just exaggerates it, like it always does.

Same could be said about guys that work out. It helps the push. I do the same when I bench (not a Super Saiyan scream mind you). 8)

Screaming is the most powerful attack in the Dragon Ball Universe. See: Filler Buuhan, who was about to destroy the multiverse. Everyone is else trying in vain to unleash the god-like power Buuhan was able to channel.

Even in the manga, screaming was capable of ripping holes between dimensions, as seen with Super Buu and Gotenks. Ki is obviously amplified in the lungs.
