Dragon Ball GT that is, personally the third series is getting milked in America.

FUNi has just released its Dragon Ball GT boxset. Well the cover art looks nicer than the DVDs (those goddamn borders behind the characters are still there too though).

It looks nice; I especially like the Japanese lettering on the side of the box.

It's on the main DBGT page if you can't view that one.

I'm scared shitless that they did the katakana correctly, instead of just making stuff up like they did for the DBZ Ultimate releases ;p

I remember when I saw one of the episodes from the Trunks saga, Chi-Chi was unloading a box for Gohan's study supplies. A box that read "My Stady". I know it's not nonsence words but it's still pretty funny!!!

The GT box set is so kickass!
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

I think "Dragon Ball" is all they know how to spell. Oddly enough, the text on the GT box is the exact same vertical text from the side of the Trunks and Bardock special uncut VHS tapes (same font and everything). After 5 years, all they did was replace the Z with GT (lazy buggers  ).

I wouldn't call it lazy, so much as unmotivated. It looks like FUNi tries to take an overly neutral approach to DB, in that they'll give fans their Japanese, but the marketing will generally be "eye candy" than anything significant.

Offtopic:
Oh neat, I am watching a program on Spike tv, called "MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge)" [which is dubbed from the program "Takeshi's Castle",] and one of the contestants on the program was wearing a red shirt that was emblazened with Muten Roshi's symbol. Hehe.
