Dragon Ball New Age Animation

Post by Malik_DBNA » Thu Jun 20, 2013 5:26 pm

Hey guys

In another post, a fan of my doujin was kind enough to post a link to my work. Now I'm here to post another.

I'm working on an animation for my doujin. I've put in about 2 weeks of work, and around 30 seconds or so of the est. 3 minute project are done. Before my most recent framework, I posted a video on Youtube, showing the first 28 seconds (including the disclaimer and studio logo). I'd appreciate it if you guys would give it a view, and help me stay motivated to finish it.

And you haven't checked it out yet, please also check out my doujin in my gallery at:

Not really much to go by since the animation was incredibly quick. But I do look forward to seeing the full animation when it's ready.

As slow as its going, another few seconds are being added. I might post some more videos with some of the other animations later

Too bad you don't have a team animating your whole series. I think your manga could work really well as anime.

I thought about that, but I feel like my work itself could get lost in translation to other people's styles. I feel better about it just animating it myself

Cool, but doesn't it take forever? Will you just animate selected scenes, or are you going for full episodes?

The animation is like the opening video at the beginning of a video game. Its only going to be about 3 minutes long. And yes, it does take forever.

Its already a million times better than Absalon and thats good enough for me. Hopefully this will make people forget about it.

Seems like you copied Dragonball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi's opening. Not liking this so far.

Dude, get over it. At least he made a opening animation. I dont see anything done by you. If you dont like his animation then dont watch it, or go make your own. That simple.

 It seems you don't know how to handle someone not liking something you do. If I don't like it, then I can say it.

Then just say you dont like it and leave it at that. Theres no reason to insult or degrade his work.

No offense, but to be honest, I have to agree with Dr. Machismo here. I too am not interested in something entirely copied. That Shenlong is the same as that in Dragon Ball movie 1, and Goku must have been copied from Ultimate Tenkaichi's opening. You should try to draw it yourself. Even Absalon is better when it comes to originality.
