When I first join BYOND I was like this is pretty cool. Now I'm like all the games are the same
. I'm not on BYOND no more due to off topic reasons. Gameplay:
THe DBZ games on byond is way to easy and fuck up at the same time. It takes like 1 - 5 seconds to get SSJ4(Certain games go up to SSJ7 sometimes 9). Something that just mad stuff weird all the time. The stats was a good concept but bad on ALL Games. Some races was made to be Oped and the coder of the games are saying it's an "Error". It was bad
. The admins on the game used to edit their characters to the point that being admin was more of a power boast instead of a job. Let's take VegettoEX for example. Let's see he codes a game then he puts himself as admin. HE hires other admins. Let's say the average player Level(Not to be confused with Power level) is 50,000. The admins would be 900,000,000,000. The races on the game was weird at times as well. It's nice to have little what if races or cameo races(Other franchises) but certain games went overboard. Evil Saiyan and BARDOCK was a race. The reason for this was just as bad. Evil Saiyans got their own transformations that's not SSJ nor have any similarities with it. Bardock had up to SSJ7. Why was they a differ race? I asked. "Because Bardock wasn't a normal Saiyan. He could see the future. So in a way he's not a Saiyan no more but his own race". I swear they said almost that exact words. Evil Saiyans was....never explained. A lot of games have this. Which is sad to be honest. The only good side is. They nailed how long it takes to get Mystic. You have to get the sword and summon Elder Kaioshin. Then you wait 45 minutes for the Mystic to be finish. The longer you wait for Mystic(And any PERM transformation) the better. The attacks all look the same but differ color.
Fanbase: Oh goodness. So this won't turn into a hate topic I'll just state things in a Nutshell followed by 2 examples. The fanbase makes Youtube DBZ fanbase looks like the best fan-base ever. That's right I said it. Here examples. Since DBZ is not a RPG you can't make suggestion make make the game better and to be more DBZ-ish. I asked for Zenaki I was told shut and muted because it's cheating. I told them to make certain races to have better defense(Not oped deference) than other because in the manga and anime it showed that. Such as Freeza. THe people told me DBZ is not a RPG. Even through 99% of DBZ games on Byond are RPG. Okay last example. You go by the dub you first saw(Some people say that) or You only go by english dub because of BRUCE and the cast! Only a few go by accurate dubs or original audio. Good role players through. After quitting BYOND only 2 internet friend remained my internet friend(We talk on youtube). Named Kyram(Real name Logan). Had this other friend named Monkai(Real name Ramon) but...he did some things I did not find right. But that's off topic.
Music: Loud. Even if it's good it's loud. Yes I can turn my speakers down but if my speakers are at 1% and I can still say it 's a bid loud there a issue(Hyperbole). Luckily on SOME games you can turn it off. Or you can mute Byond itself.
Through all these complains I have to admit there is only 3 good games. Dragon Universe(Most accurate game on there. It goes by Original Audio and have everything in the series. Even Zenkai, Master SSJ, SSJ Grades which you need custom buff for, Hold back power, Planet destroy. accurate Kaioken, and Feels like a real MMO. Only flaw is.....none.), Hero United 1 and 2(Similar to Legacy of Goku but MMO and no story.)
Overall Score for Byond DBz games: 3/10( Not counting DU and HU1 and 2)
