Games of this gen:
Burst Limit: It's over 9000
Ultimate Blast: It's over 9000
I'm aware that instead of using actual subtitles they just go along with dubtitles, but at least if they corrected 9000 to 8000 as it is on the Japanese versions I'd be happy seeing they fixed that part at least.
Burst Limit - Japanese Edition

FUNimation on their Kai dub corrected this mistake so there's no reason to continue using this lame ass 9000 bullshit.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

A lot of dub fans like the 9000 thing, because of the meme. That's probably why they haven't changed it in the games.

With the exception of using established dub names/terms, we've been getting pretty solid translations for the game scripts. I think the last game to use a lot of the FUNi Z dub-isms was Infinite World (I remember some of the cutscene dialogue was lifted right from the Z dub, instead of an accurate script.) Though I could be wrong...
But yeah, we've had it better now than back in 2002 (where we had the crappy Budokai 1 "translation" that was all over the place.)
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Yeah I.W was pretty much Funimation Dub subtitles. Only reason Over 900 are in games now is ebcause of fans not getting over the fact that Goku was not 9000.

The over 9000 meme made DBZ into a bigger joke now since I feel like you can't talk about DBZ without making a stupid over 9000 joke

Or accurate anything. Can't forget Teen Gohan's opening with Goku in Raging Blast 2, "Alright Piccolo". SMH.

He said that to Krillin as well. That was inaccurate and a bad translation cause I know Gohan just had a default line for each Krillin,Goku, and Piccolo in the JPN version.
Also THAT IS NOTHING compared to what Zangya say to Vegeta.
Vegeta: I won't hold back cause you're a woman.
Zangya: Your man is kinda cute.
WTF!

Oh yeah? You think we have? I think they've been quite poor for other games than Budokai 1. I dunno how you can be happy with the subs, but I sure am not. If I had more time, I'd dig some examples up.

Like I said, I could be wrong.

I remember a lot of the recent games having lines that were definitely closer to the original dialogue. I also remember many lines being super simplified translations of the original dialogue. Maybe I'm just looking at the newer games with rose-colored glasses because I'm happy we're getting something that's closer to the Japanese scripts instead of the completely rewritten FUNi BS we were getting back in the early 2000s.
For example, I know they still don't really curse in the English subtitles of the games. "Kuso" still gets translated as "Darn" or "Blast" or "Curse you!"

I think Sangofe is from somewhere in Europe, where they got a sub-only release of Budokai. The English edition in the UK had some rather funny subtitles, including Vegeta referring to everyone as a bunch of "Aunt Sallies". Perhaps he's referring to that version?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
The one is the worst, but others aren't really great either and are honestly worst than many fansubs, even.
