Cost of buying the original Dragonball series

Post by samuraix123 » Tue Sep 03, 2013 2:34 pm

Hello Everyone!
I was wondering how much would it cost me to get all 5 seasons of the original Dragonball series off Amazon. I would check myself but this stupid computer is messing up. :P Would it be smarter to buy it all in 1 or buy them individually? Money has been tight here lately but I want to own the original series. here in a couple days I'm gonna have 50-65 dollars to play around with. How many sets would that buy me? I've given up on Funimation releasing the original Dragonball Dragon-boxes
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Season 1: Currently $19.96
Season 2: Currently $21.97
Season 3: Currently $20.17
Season 4: Currently $16.93
Season 5: Currently $16.93

The $50-65 you stated will pretty much get you the first three sets.

There will most likely be some holiday sales coming up in the next couple of months via Amazon or RightStuf as well. The DB "Blue Bricks" will most likely be heavily discounted even more near the end of the year.

If you'd rather wait/save up more money, there's a good chance you get these babies for around $12-$15 a pop.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Yeah, I've seen these go on sale from time from time. I imagine if you wait a while, you can get them all in one purchase with the money you'll have.

Come to think of it, I might just do the same.

Not to hand but I can describe it fairly well. Funi sets are slightly zoomed in and are most contrasty compared to the DBoxes. There's less grain but it's a pretty decent release - original aspect ratio and all that.

I would just say but them one buy one when they are sub $15 dollars, I did this and ended up with the entire series in 2 months back in June and July of like 68 for the entire series.
