Can Bra turn Super Saiyan right off the bat?

I think it depends because from what I saw Trunks and Goten both trained with a parent and with Vegeta and Goku's genes I could see why they could transform at an early age but I never saw That Bra did any training..? But I don't see why not if she did and also that would of been funny

Anyway, I think Bra definitely has the capability. She just doesn't have any reason or desire to do so. As someone aptly put it, she's not a "female Vegeta." She's a "mini-Bulma." Fighting and training aren't her thing, and going Super Saiyan's just a part of that.

Should probably start a separate thread... But I'm surprised that Pan was never given the chance to become a Super Saiyan.. She had so many experiences throughout the entire series.. I think if any of the sagas would have worked for her it could have been the baby one..

Honestly I don't think we should take GT as serious canon (maybe an alternate timeline at best), but Toriyama said in interviews that he thinks Bra would actually be pretty strong and that she, like Pan, could go Super Saiyan. Personally, I like to take Stupidoomdoodles (srsly, check her stuff out on tumblr) stuff as headcanon, that Bra went Super Saiyan at a younger age than Trunks.

If we're to assume that GT isn't canon,

Bra was a little tiny kid when we saw her at the tail end of DBZ. And we only saw her as a guest at the tournament. I.e., one day of her life. There's nothing to say she DIDN'T train and COULDN'T go Super Saiyan (at some point in her life) unless "word of god" has said otherwise, because we literally are shown one single day of her life, and have no idea what she did with the rest of her time.

I always thought it was strange that Pan didn't inherit the Super Saiyan ability in the same way that Trunks and Goten did.

However, it probably has something to do with either the fact that she's 1/4 Saiyan while Trunks and Goten are 1/2, or that her father had received the power up from the Elder Kaioshin. Maybe one or both of these factors is the reason she can't do it naturally.

It is a little surprising we never got to see her transform at all but maybe that's because GT only lasted 64 episodes.

As for Bra, maybe she has the latent ability to do it but never actually does since she's not a fighter. It's hard to say since she doesn't exactly get a lot of screen time compared to Pan. Which is a shame because it probably would have been interesting to see Bra and Pan's relationship since they're two girls of approximate age with seemingly different personalities.

Gohan, however, wasn't born with that ability. So, I guess that Pan also wasn't born with that ability.

I know what you mean, but the thing is, it's so very Dragon Ball for them to get it. Dragon Ball constantly has things that used to be super difficult and rare to obtain become mundane further down the line. It all ties into the story's theme of overcoming limits, I think--be they personal limits or limits to things like this.

Just to clarify here, I don't think Pan lacks the capacity to transform, but her more diluted blood may or may not contribute to the fact that it didn't come naturally like it seemed to with Goten and Trunks.
