What do you want from a DBZ Movie 15?

Post by Bullza » Sat Sep 21, 2013 12:38 pm

I would like to assume that one will be made considering the success of the last one. So if one does get made and it's canon and takes place after Battle of Gods rather than it being it's own thing then what would you like to see happen in it?

For myself

- I'd like the movie to mostly revolve around the characters going into another universe and seeing the changes that have happened there.

- I'd like Bills and Whis to return because I found them to be pretty interesting characters. They could give more of a backstory on them.

- I'd like Vegeta to become a Super Saiyan God.

- I'd like to see another God of Destruction who would be the main villain of that film and unlike Bills be really evil and more similar to that of Frieza in personality.

- I'd like it to be overall a more serious film, BoG was a bit too comical I think and I'd rather the movie have a similar tone to that of the Android saga which was serious but not overly serious.

- I'd like Gohan, Piccolo and Krillin to have a much larger role instead of lesser characters like Pilaf, Shu and Mai having much more screentime. Leave Goten and Trunks out of it also.

- I'd like them to set something up in the movie that would set something up for the sequel.

I would like to see a origin story on the Dragon Balls. Maybe they can have a god of creation that help the Namekians the Dragon Balls. Old Planet Namek was destroy, so I think a lot of the Planet's history was long gone.

Ugh, I'm getting sick of all this powering up. You can make a character so strong before it's ridiculous. And yea, I get it's a shonen series and that's mostly where it's roots come from but... gah! Can't they do a side story like the Bardock or Trunks TV Specials? I don't wanna see anymore Super Saiyan (insert number here) or Super Saiyan Gods.

Come to think about it, I'd like to see a reboot of the series via movies. The Path to Power was a great example of how it should be done. Perhaps they could come out with a movie every year covering an arc? That's what I'd like to see!

I would like to see SSJ God and or SSJ3 Vegeta, other than that I don't have many expectations.
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

Let it take place after BOG and have AT return to write the script.

An exciting plot that befits the big screen setting, not a snail-paced-family-reunion non-event that's biggest selling points are "it's new" and "it's part of the main continuity".

A main villain that's beaten by somebody other than Goku.
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

It didn't feel like "DBZ" because it was not entirely about heroic Goku gathering power to defeat a bland villain with a nonsensical technique.

He wants yet another movie with no real stories in it.

I want Yamucha and Chiaotzu as the main characters.

For it to be good. To force upon any of my own specific hang-ups with the series and tie the hands of the creative minds behind such works feels utterly disingenuous to me. Have an alien show up out of nowhere. Have some comedy. Have no comedy. Have the humans do nothing. Have a new Super Saiyan form. Just tell your story in the most interesting way possible. There are no bad ideas; just bad executions.

I think there should be an entire different series rather than a movie. Or else it will be a bit confusing for them constantly making movies.

I don't really wish anythng, and they might even not make anything, but i don't know.

For some reason, i don't feel very comfortable when thinking about Vegeta being a SSJG. Maybe is it because i don't like the character much? Anyway, everyone has their own opinions.

Super Zygote Pan was a bad idea.

This sounds good.

I'd argue that Battle of Gods didn't have real stories in it either.

BOG had a decent story to it. The other DBZ games would always have Goku winning from a one sided attack and would rehash old ideas. Lord Slug and Metal Coola were just rehash of Piccolo Diamo and Mecha Freeza.

Like I said before make it a trio and I'm in.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Battle of Gods is aimless, puerile bullshit (That's saying a lot with this series). Lord Slug and Return of Cooler are terrible films in their own right but I'd still watch those over Battle of Gods, at least they have somewhat decent action. I thought the final fight of Battle of Gods might save it but they couldn't even get that right, just incredibly mediocre, Naruto/Bleach movie level ADHD nonsense coupled with terrible CGI and "dynamic camera movements," great!

I've always longed for other such spin-offs that expanded on the characters' backgrounds.

In particular, the whole Kami/Piccolo Daimaoh subplot seems so interesting to me that, honestly, I indeed find it surprising no one, especially Toriyama and Toei, decided to seize the opportunity and explore it in considerable depth. Oh, and throw in Garlic Sr as well, just for the sake of it; I guess his appearance could blend in very well with the child of Kattatsu's splitting. Tie it up with explaining how the rivalry between Kame Sennin and Tsuru Sennin came to be and you've got all the ingredients for one of the most memorable moments in the franchise's history.
