It's a shame that this is being kept as a Japan-only exclusive and so importing might come with extra fees so even though I'd like to pre-order this I'll just wait for some UK eBay seller to have it up.

As a guy who has never imported before

What would be the best sites to pre order from, or buy items online? Or does it not matter?

YesAsia is a reliable website to purchase imports from. I personally have my Sonic Lost World Official Soundtrack on pre-order from them.

There's also Amazon Japan (Got my "Battle of the Gods" from them), and CDJapan (I've gotten a soundtrack from them, things went smoothly).

Amazon Japan often won't ship video games outside of Japan.

I, coincidentally, happen to have written up a post linking some pre-orders last week that I didn't get around to posting on the site until this morning. I've got CDJapan links in there. Play-Asia will put it up eventually, too.

Ami Ami is usually pretty good for prices, and is reliable.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Playasia is great. I got Jump Superstars and Kamen Rider: Battlride War from both of them, they both came in like a week after they were released in Japan.

YesAsia only charges you when they dispatch it but you've gotta be sure that all details are correct, or you'll need to contact them to edit this and that which can be a bit tedious.
