Has anyone not seen the entire series yet?

Post by Tyro » Thu Oct 31, 2013 11:26 am

Topic title. I'm curious if anyone here still hasn't seen some part of the series, be it a few episodes or a whole arc.

Still never seen the last 50 or so episodes of DBZ, or anything beyond episode 7 of GT. Really need to get around to doing that... I even had a thread dedicated to first impressions of GT episodes that died off some years ago.

I haven't seen all of DBGT, and have no plans to do so.

The first few episodes turned me away from it pretty fast.

Yeah, pretty much sums the show up right there.

I'm the kind of person who's too lazy to watch any episodes and reads everything from the wiki. But I really did marathon Z for about 30 episodes between the Saiyan and Namek arcs.

Especially considering how slow paced Z is, I don't think I'll ever watch it quite completely.

I've only completely read the of the Pre-Z era in the manga. As far as the anime goes, I haven't seen much of the later half of DB. For Z I haven't seen anything from the Saiyaman episodes until Buu is first released and knocks out Gohan. For GT, I only seen some episodes here and there.

To be honest...there's a lot of I haven't seen, haha, but because I've been on this forum for so long I still know the story inside and out. :P

I haven't seen much of Kai. I've seen every episode of the other three series though.

The only part of the series I haven't seen completely is GT (and I haven't seen it at all with the original BGM). Unless we're counting Kai, then I haven't seen all of that either.

As far as the anime, I've seen all of it. As far as the manga, I still haven't read from volume 22 to 39 yet.

The only thing I haven't seen is probably the Year-End TV Special. I also haven't seen the complete Colored Manga yet.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Haven't seen uncut season 1, was waiting for blu ray but since it looks locked I'll have to purchase level sets.

I have only watched 3 or so episodes of kai. And GT i have watched in its entirety only once. At some time i would love to watch every ocean dub episodes of z, it's just something cheezy about it i found appealing.

I've seen all of Kai in Japanese, but not English.

Still haven't watched all of GT. Own the green brick complete series and have only watched the first few episodes. Also DB movies 2 and 3, which I own but I'm not watching them until I rewatch the entire anime.

Then its just the new BOG. I've seen almost everything and own almost everything.

Seeing as I've read through the entire manga and watched DB & DBZ, the only thing I haven't gone through is DBGT.
Of course, I don't give a rat's ass to bother with GT.

I've actually never seen a single episode of any of it. I've been faking really well for over a decade.

Who is this "Goku" guy, anyway?

I haven't seen all of the movies but I have watched every single episode of the anime, plus Kai in English. I haven't watched the whole series in Japanese but I have no intention of doing so, to be honest.

I have not seen the eleven Dragon Ball Z film, the tenth anniversary film, or Bardock TV specials yet. I'll need to hunt down a 4:3 release for the Bardock special someday...

Have yet to watch the entirety of the original Dragon Ball anime. Half out of choice, half because of a lack of time. I vastly prefer the manga - at least for the first half of the series.

I've seen all of Z, all the movies and all the TV-specials. However, I've only seen like, oh... 40 episodes of the original Dragon Ball. And only like 7 episodes of GT, though seeing how I recently did get the GT Dragon Box, I imagine that part will change before long, and assuming that I get a chance to obtain the Dragon Box of the first series I will certainly be getting that too...

...And last time I was in Tokyo I did find the first series Dragon Box in a Book-Off store. Assuming that said box is still there the next time I go to Tokyo I am so getting it. And if not, well, there does seem to be a few second-hand sets up for sale on Amazon.
