Beerus Meets Goku [English Fandub]

This is a fandub of the scene where Beerus arrives on the Galactic Overseer's (Kaioh) Planet in search of Goku. I wanted to try another dub as Goku. But, since I did this one alone I voiced everyone. I feel pretty good about all the voices except for the Galactic Overseer's. I wanted to do something in the vain of the original voice, but who knows? This was fun since I got to play with Goku's hick-ish qualities again and got to dub him awkwardly trying to speak properly. I toned down Beerus' rasp a bit, but it's still the same voice, I usually use for him.

As usual, used the Sigh-yan pronunciation.

Voices:
SSJ4 Furanki: Goku, Galactic Overseer (Kaioh), Beerus and Whis.

Enjoy!

The second part of this scene will be out whenever I feel like dubbing it, haha!

I enjoyed how you wrote Goku's dialogue, but I think that your Birus is still a little bit too raspy. It reminds me of Christian Bale's Batman, and I'm not sure if it works. Have you tried using your natural speaking voice for Birus? Also, the line spoken by Birus when he's walking up to Goku is a little awkwardly delivered, like you were having trouble getting the timing down. Maybe a few more takes would have been good. As usual, your Whis is spot-on. You made a pretty good voice for Kaio, but I feel like the delivery should have over the top and angry when he was scolding Goku. Overall, I enjoyed this clip. Your Goku and Whis are good as are your deliveries save for the aformentioned examples. The only major problem that I have is that you may need to consider making a new voice for Birus, or at least trying to tone down the rasp some more. I give it a thumbs up!

Yeah, funny thing is I can copy Bale's Batman really easily (although a lot of people can), perhaps Beerus would work with my natural voice. But, than it would sound like a less smooth/flamboyant Whis. For Kaioh, yeah, I'm still trying to adjust the voice (wanted to avoid the typical dub take on him). I'm trying to mentally picture my own grandfather's tone when doing Kaioh. I personally wish I could copy his voice. He sounds pretty close tone and voice wise to an English speaking Yanami (may have to due to them being in the same ballpark age wise). For Beerus, I'm not sure what I'll do. With the rasp it's my Ryuk voice/impression, without it's Bale Batman, haha! I think I can find something. I managed to get Goku to work and I didn't ever think I'd be able to get him to work. Whis was an easy match for me to do. In future clips I think I may get someone else to do Beerus. Thank you for the critique, it helps!

It's no problem! If you're trying to make your Beerus not sound like Whis, have you attempted deepening your natural speaking voice without resorting to the rasp? It may be a little hard to do, but it's worth a shot should you want to play both of them.

I could try it. Just usually becomes a little stilted if I just deepen my voice without anything extra. But, I gotta practice deeper voices that aren't just the, Batman, Ryuk, Piccolo, SSJ4 Goku type of voices, those are comfortable for me, haha, even though for some others that wouldn't be the comfort zone of their's.

Lesse... I did not like your Kaioh... Your Goku was okay, with really good dialogue. Whis' voice was all right. You do seem a bit too relaxed or something, though... Like you're not putting enough energy into the roles.

Yeah, I figured Kaioh would be the most iffy one of the bunch. With Beerus being the close second. The lack of energy I agree with you myelf. I don't why, but I reverted from the having no problem being loud. Yeah, for Goku I love adapting the writing. Especially with the semi-hick speech quirk that gets never gets adapted in the official adaptations. I would love for a more Nozawa like voice saying the dialouge.
