I could've sworn that I read somewhere that Toriyama discarded Super Saiya-jin 2 because his editor said it looked too much like the original Super Saiyan, however, I can't find this statement anywhere.
Does anyone know if this was indeed stated, or if it's just some made-up fan junk?

I need help finding something
I wipe it off the tile, the light is brighter this time, everything is 3D blasphemy.
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up, this is not the way I picture me.
I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here? Something about this, so very wrong.

I'm thinking it is a fake? The only thing I can remember that is even close to that statement is when Toriyama gave one of the Battle of Gods interviews and stated that he thought the Super Saiyan 3 design was actually the Super Saiyan 2 form. Meaning that he pretty much forgot Super Saiyan 2's design existed...
