Okay everyone, as you know that since dragon ball absalon were fan made, that malevelli has received an email from toei animation to make them offical. I dont know if its real or fake but I just hope that its real, here is those information:

Hello guys, recently i received a mail from toei anim ltd
I still don't know if its a troll or for real, but the main offer is that they want to connect DBA on their network.
So it is possible they make it all official, thats the good news

So, plz lets discuss that if would it gonna be sequel of gt series or not.

I sincerely doubt this.

Even though they can be construed as a form of copyright infringement, fan works are generally ignored by the official rights-holders in Japan because they feed back into the franchise itself and help grow the fandom. They would never actually incorporate that stuff into an official property, however. If anything, the creator of such a work would be assigned to a new project with a new pen-name, the way that Toyble (Toyotarō) of Dragon Ball AF was given Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission, or Naho Ooishi was allowed to draw several smaller official works before being put in charge of Dragon Ball SD. Meanwhile, their official résumé is scrubbed of any infringing works.

I have occasional wet dreams about this happening to me with GT Revised, and while life is certainly cruel, there's no way it's SO cruel that it would happen to the folks behind Absalon instead of me.

A short fan fiction over a somewhat decent animated series? Doubt it. Given I havn't read his fan fiction but I am sure it has a much better story than Absalon.

Decent? I beg to differ. Everything about it was awful. GT Revised actually has good quality and it would be perfect for a GT reboot if Toei ever decided to do it. Even DBM would be a much better choice for something immediately before GT. At least before SSJG was introduced, anyway. Battle of Gods interferes with things and it would require some changes so that all could fit.

You think that if Toei picked up DBA they would use that awful animation...? No, they would take the concept and the story and they would do the animation for it professionally. So GT Revisited not having awful fan animation wouldn't matter at all, they would also just take the concept and story.

Btw, the only thing DBA has going for it is that it actually has some sort of animation, even though its not good. But that wouldn't matter at all in this scenario as I've explain.

Why would Toei pick the creators of DBA to make into an official show? The e-mail is fake and I doubt they would send him a e-mail in English anyways. It's rare for fan artist to work on official license stuff anyways.

I think I'd prefer Hitler being alive in Antarctica (by the way by now he'd be the oldest living person ever) to DBA becoming anything official. On the other hand I'd love for Toyble's last chapter, Who wants to be a superhero, GT: Revised or DBM to become official (in that order).

To be honest, I rather not see fan projects be official. I don't think fans can make stuff much better then official artist and writers. Toyable's AF is pretty much GT 2.0 seeing it has major plot holes as GT did with stuff that makes no sense like Gohan can randomly go SSj4, Piccolo is already can hold off Janemba after being in Hell for like a year and Broli coming back when his movies don't fit into the main anime timeline (same goes with Janemba).

I think DBNA is pretty good for trying out fresh ideas then having a silver SSj5, Xicor and Goku becoming Evil. DBM, DBA and PGV's AF are awful and should never be official.

A fan can come up with a concept or story as good as a professional. Something like that, picked up by the official company, with their professional production and necessary changes, would be as good as any official product or better.

But being a fan of the series, we don't want another fan to make up a story for it, we want it to be official.

If the official company picks it up it becomes official. Or do you think that if someone wrote a plot for a movie with some connection to a franchise and the studio bought the plot and made a movie out of it, it wouldn't be official?
