DBZ can 28 farmers bust down a moon?
So i was wondering about the whole power level thing, i am at the edge of saying that they are either linear or exponential. because if you think this way.
if you take 28 farmers with shotguns each person would have power level of 5 making it that all of them would have power level of 140. Then... wouldn't that be enough to bust a moon, like master roshi was able to do with power level of 139.Or would they be struggling to bust even a small hill or a boulder. Can someone actually try to do this myth and see if it works, I'm guessing shotgun bullets wouldn't be able to reach the moon. But what if 28 people with shotguns shot at the same time, would they be able to bust something like a a huge rock or a car. and vaporize it?

I'm no science expert, but I'm fairly certain that you can't vaporize stuff with a shotgun.
Also, shotguns don't have power levels. Your scenario would just be a bunch of guys shooting the moon with shotguns. Even if they could hit it, no, it wouldn't work.

It depends what you mean.
If 28 farmers with shotgun became 1 guy, and their power level's also combined, then he could theoretically break a boulder with his fists. if he mastered the concept of ki, then he could possibly blow up the moon.
But if you mean 28 separate farmers use their shotguns to shoot things with, it will accomplish nothing, unless the bullets are mini-Kamehameha's. lol

no ki envolved. their power level was measured when he was armed with a shotgun, meaning that shotgun probably gives him more pl.Dbzfan94 wrote:It depends what you mean.

That is ridiculous. The farmer's ki was measured.TenshiGokuu wrote:their power level was measured when he was armed with a shotgun, meaning that shotgun probably gives him more pl.
To answer the question, no. But if those 28 farmers were one being which had an ability to utilize ki the way Roshi could, he could blow up the moon with a powerful ki attack.

Why would the shotgun give him a higher power level? It's a chunk of metal, plastic, and whatever else shotguns are made of. This would probably be a topic for the In-Universe Section, but I digress.
Anyhow, we can't be sure Roshi's battle power clocks at 139 when using a Full-Power Kamehameha. I assume you're using the Daizenshuu numbers, and Pre-Kaio Goku was listed at 416. However, Raditz clearly states that his BP was rising above the 900 mark while he was charging his Kamehameha, more than doubling his resting BP. So, in theory, you'd probably need more farmers.

Haha, the farmer is so awesome that he can destroy ANYTHING with his shotgun, provided that the bullet isn't caught.

So the shotgun itself has a energy source? An inanimate object? The scouter measures a life force. The shotgun doesn't influence anything.TenshiGokuu wrote:no ki envolved. their power level was measured when he was armed with a shotgun, meaning that shotgun probably gives him more pl.Dbzfan94 wrote:It depends what you mean.

So, after that, you're stuck with 28 farmers punching a moon. That moon ain't going anywhere.Rocketman wrote:Shotguns don't have ki, you fruit loop.

Any of their shotguns could, if they went Super Shotgun mode. Or is that just where they fire two shells at once?

Re: DBZ can 28 farmers bust down a moon?
Weapons don't have their own ki, so that 5 power level was the level of the farmer himself. A shotgun blast would probably register as something like a 6 or 7 (maybe higher, but it'd probably have to be lower than 10 if you're trying to make the guidebook level for start-of-Dragonball Goku actually work) if it were a very small ki blast rather than just a gun going off, going by the fact that ordinary PL 5 humans definitely can die from a single gunshot (and it's a hell of a lot more likely than dying from a single punch from someone else who also isn't superhumanly strong), but it isn't a sure thing that someone who gets shot is going to die. Heck, people have survived multiple gunshots (though usually from something a lot lower-power than a shotgun) and survived, though usually that requires an immediate trip to the hospital for there to be much hope and tends to leave people with limps, paralysis, etc. depending on where they got shot.
Regardless... 28 ki blasts from 28 different humans with a power level of 5 couldn't do crap to the moon. They'd cause more damage than if there were just 28 PL 5 humans punching the moon of course, but it'd be minor surface damage at best, nothing threatening to the structure of the moon itself. Just like how 28 humans with a power level of 5 could never, ever have any chance of beating somebody with a power level of 140 even if they all ganged up on them at once. There's too much of a gap between what a PL 5 character can do and what's required to blow up the moon (or beat a single individual with a PL of 140) for it to be possible. If these 28 farmers were able to combine their ki somehow (assuming they knew how to use it in the first place) and pass it on to a single one of those farmers like some kind of Super Farmer God or something, then maybe they'd be able to do something. But just 28 separate farmers couldn't do a thing.
Now, if there were two super-strong ki-using farmers with power levels of 70 or 80... that might be a trickier question. They'd probably still lose badly to a PL 140 guy in a fight (if Goku vs. Jiece and Burter is any indication) or, at best, barely scrape by a win with both of them half-dead if not worse by the end of it (going by Goku and Piccolo vs. Raditz)... but could two PL 70 or so blasts fired at once combine forces to be enough to blow up the moon?
(Heck, could someone with a power level of 140 even blow up the moon in the first place? I thought Roshi's max power Kamehameha was 180, not his standard 139 that he's measured as later on when he's not even in bulked-up mode. I know the number 180 for Roshi was listed on one of the magazine/daizenshuu lists that's been floating around, if I'm remembering right... unless that was one of those fake PL lists? I can't remember for sure.)

The 180 level is from a Weekly Jump scan released along with the chapter where Goku and Vegeta have their beam struggle.Pantalones wrote: (Heck, could someone with a power level of 140 even blow up the moon in the first place? It's the one that also contains Goku and Tenshinhan's levels at the 22nd tournament, Tao Pai Pai's at the 23rd tournament, Goku's 910 level at the 23rd tournament and every fighter from the battle with the saiyans and some other ones.
Apparently the basis of D7's BP list.

But D7 didn't reprint some of those battle powers. Like Kami's 220.
Anyway, if it helps, it's possible that DB's moon is just small, and busting it is less impressive than busting a city or a mountain.

now speaking of scouters, they are pretty advanced to the point that they can tell how strong or dangerous that person is, and since guns are pretty outdated compared to their alien tech, the scouter would have the option to absorb the intel of everything on the person even including his firearm or if he had bulletproof vest on him. now if the farmer had a typical 12g slug shotgun which has velocity up to 1610ft/s that would give you about 2,500 pounds of energy, almost 3 times enough to kill a deer. now if you multiply 28 farmers with each having 2,500 pounds of energy behind his deathly firearm that gives you 70,000 pounds of energy or about 35 tons, is that enough to bust down a moon F*ck no! but is it enough to bust down a car or house? no its only enough to actually destroy it into pieces, but to vaporize it? never! it would need a small nuke to do that.Dbzfan94 wrote:So the shotgun itself has a energy source? Ask yourself if Bulma can run over two farmers, a combined power level of 10, the same as Goku, and not kill them.

Imagine a shit-load of 9 Volt batteries connected in parallel. You've got a number of different power sources connected together, but the total voltage is still 9 volts.
That's how I'd explain it, at least.
