Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

There have been several fights in DB/DBZ/DBGT, and it should come as no surprise that some characters seem to take some worse hits than others. However, that's where this topic comes in. Who do YOU think took the worst beating in the series? It can be from the manga or the anime.
With that said, I can't decide between these two...
1: Goku vs Piccolo Jr.
I think Goku really took a bad beating against Piccolo Jr when the latter broke all of Goku's limbs. Even if he recovered it all later with a senzu bean, it still looked pretty painful.
2: #17 vs Imperfect Cell.
17 was told not to be resistant, and boy did he pay for it. Cell got some bone(gear?)-crushing hits on the artificial human, and kept beating him while he was down. That gut punch especially looked painful.
Your turn!

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke

Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Id have to say Vegeta when he fought Final Form Freeza. Freeza just had him by the neck and punched him again and again...and again, all in that same spot.
Not to mention grinding a rock to dust against Vegeta's wounds.

Incidentally, I forgot about Videl vs Spopovich. It doesn't matter if you watched the scene in the anime or read it in the manga, it was still brutal how badly Spopovich thrashed Videl.
It's really one of the only fights I can't watch without cringing a lot.

If we count all the beatings they took collectively, then it's without a doubt Goku, with Vegeta at a close second and Piccolo in third. Being engulfed by Tullece's blast in movie 3 is one of the most awe inspiring moments in the series, holy shit.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Videl took the worst beating ever. Vegeta is tied with Videl when he got his ass handed to him by Freeza. Both was brutal as fuck.

Vegeta in the Saiyan saga got the most long, drawn out beating. I felt tired after reading it.

Overall, Vegeta has had the worst beatings.
If we are talking about who took the worst in a single fight, Super Buu.

The worst beating i'll say goes to one of these 3
1.Goku vs vegita. =Goku
2.Goku vs Freeza = Freeza
3.Goku vs Super android 13= Goku
1.Goku For the following reasons:
His legs were crushed by tons of weight.
His ribs wer cracked ,
Kaio-ken basically nearly destroyed his body...to te point where even a simple pat on the back made him cry out.

2.Freeza
Was cut in half!..by his own disk. all he had was one hand XD..
3.Goku
Got punched to his balls

...
Fell to the ground in a sec form SSJ to normal base form

one of the most painful moments to watch in dragon ball

I'd say the biggest
collective beating was taken by everyone who fought Broli in Movie 8. Everyone got the absolute snot kicked out of them.
I think in terms of the sheer gulf in power, this deserves an honorable mention:

I think Vegeta and Videl got the worst beatings in Dragonball Z history.

No one comes close to Videl. I always cringe every time I watch that fight.

Goku probably takes the most collective beatings, with Piccolo and his son probably delivering the worst ones.

Videl vs Spopovich, definately.
Goku vs Piccolo would be 2nd place though.
