Not on their website as I'm sure it's not uncut.

Of course, it's recommended. Opinions of the English version vary from person to person, but the Japanese version is the original and is a different beast altogether from the FUNimation dub. You can watch Japanese DBZ with subtitles rather easily and legally through Hulu, FUNimation's website, or even with the Dragon Box video on the website Daisuki.JEFFMAN219 wrote:Hey guys I'm thinking of re watching the original Dragon Ball Z all the way through in Japanese on funimations site and my question is should I do it or not?

Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

In fact, they have all 153 episodes of DragonBall subbed, whereas the dubbed version only has 43 episodes up for whatever reason...

I like the original dub but ever since I've been watching Kais dub I can't take the old dub serious anymore looltheoriginalbilis wrote:Of course, it's recommended. I live in UK and by using Hotspot Shield Free I can watch videos from US which is nice for times when they're restricted to US IPs only.JEFFMAN219 wrote:I can't hulu because I live in Canada.

Just be aware that it comes with advertisement but it's blockable anyway (by using Adblock Plus).

Of course you should do it asap! It's an experience like no other and it will make you think about DBZ in ways you haven't before. As long as you have the time to go through all 291 episodes then by all means please proceed and have fun!JEFFMAN219 wrote:Hey guys I'm thinking of re watching the original Dragon Ball Z all the way through in Japanese on funimations site and my question is should I do it or not?

The only thing that sucks in the Japanese releases is the sound quality :/

I never notice it. Really? Guess I don't play attention to sound that much. Is it that bad? When I watched all the fights of the Tenkaichi Budokai yesterday I didn't get bad sound for the JPN audio.sangofe wrote:The only thing that sucks in the Japanese releases is the sound quality :/

The Japanese version is the best. I hope you find a way to watch the show that way!

Is Daisuki available outside of the U.S.? If so, you can use that website for watching DBZ in Japanese.

The audio quality is muffled but it's not entirely bad as there's shows and films much less fortunate than DB/DBZ.sangofe wrote:The only thing that sucks in the Japanese releases is the sound quality :/
No clue why they didn't include stereo audio on the Dragon Box GT.

Re: Watching dragon ball z in Japanese
Yup it's something I don't pay much attention to either. The audio for the Japanese soundtrack, though one can definitely tell it is of a prior era, still isn't bad enough to pull me out of the experience of the anime. Also if anyone has had the chance to pick up the new BD the Japanese audio has never sounded any better!TheGmGoken wrote:I never notice it. Really? Guess I don't play attention to sound that much.
