BoG: Pudding! [Fandub]

This is a quick fandub of the scene where Beerus freaks out on Gotenks because he couldn't have pudding. This was fun though quick.

Very cool. I can definitely hear a lot of influence from your Ryuk impression into you Beerus voice.
My only criticism is that the pudding yell peaked the mic volume a bit too much and made my ears hurt a bit. But it was a great yell nonetheless.

I know when I recorded that line for LPX Studio's BOG fandub, it was difficult to gauge the volume of the mic because he's getting louder/angrier as the line continues. I had to separate the line into 3 files, one with the regular speaking volume, another slightly lower for his angry lines, and all the way low for his yelling breakdown at the end.

LPX Studio's uploaded a preview of all of the voices and he used Beerus's pudding line too.

Yes I know some of the FUNimation-based impressions are a bit cringe-worthy (which I'm always guilty of my Piccolo being a Sabat impression) and the Faulconer music doesn't help for the direction of the preview, but he has stated that he won't be using Faulconer's music for the actual movie, but instead the BOG soundtrack.

Indeed, when I started doing fandubs of Beerus, that seemed like a voice that may work for it. Even though it's much more raspy than Yamadera's original take. Impressions are fine as long as they sound good like you are with Piccolo's voice. I've kept up with the fandub and your Beerus voice is pretty good too and more in tone with the original voice, haha! Yeah, I did it all together in one line. My mic isn't bad, but the Samson Meteor (which is what I have) doesn't respond to peaks well. I moved the mic away from me more than I normally would hoping it wouldn't peak too much. But, for now I'll work with that I've got and for future dubs mess with the settings more so it doesn't peak! Thanks for the criticism! I'm glad the delivery itself seems to work just fine.

Even though I wasn't going for impressions for the JSAT fandub, there's a reason why I cast you as Piccolo. You may draw inspiration from Sabat's take on the character, but I think you do it well enough to where you make it your own. When I hear it I hear Piccolo, not an imitation of someone else's Piccolo. That's just me, though.

As for Furanki's Beerus, like I said on Youtube, the delivery was excellent. My main concern with your take on the character was whether you'd be able to do some of the screaming scenes in that voice for I'd imagine it would be hard to yell in it. After seeing this clip, however, I now know that that isn't an issue at all. Good job, man!

Yeah, yelling isn't too bad for Beerus since he only yells a few times (even then yelling in the voice isn't too tough). It's harder to laugh as him, but even then it's not that it's hard. As Infinite pointed out since it's more or less my Ryuk impression with a different tone, I'm so used to doing the Ryuk-style laugh with the voice. I guess the way to write it out would be Hyuck if I use the manga's onomatopoeia of it.

EDIT: It's been reuploaded to Vimeo since Toei took it down on YouTube. I'm surprised, I thought it would be FOX. Seems silly to take down a 13 second clip, but they own it so I can't fight it.
