I've seen that release several times before, if it's a bootleg it's a very successful one. Perhaps it's a Chinese release? While there's Japanese writing on the box, that used in the menus looks like Chinese, and there's also the Chinese subtitles, of course.

Yeah I'd love to have more information on this bootleg release. I see copies still go for sale on Ebay all the time and I even remember some of my friends in elementary school having copies of this release. Does it originate from Hong Kong or Taiwan though? I'd bet on the latter. But if anyone has any more information on this release I'd love to hear it.

And they're all gonna be around here long after we're dead. So, in a way, those things are more realer than any of us.

It's from a Hong Kong company. And since it's based on the Dragonboxes, it can't be from before 2003 as the Dragonboxes were released in 2003.

Darn, guess I was wrong. Well it seems like a pretty decent bootleg (as decent as bootlegs can be I guess) to be based off the Dragon Box release. Does anyone know if this even measures up at all to the Dragon Box material and how it differs? I just mean in the preservation and quality of the video in the set.
