So something that Super Saiyan Prime and I sorta kinda off-and-on collaborated on for... uhh... years?... simply via commenting here on the site for so long was this DBZ game cycle image (obviously a play on the "Sonic Cycle"):
We've all noticed by now that every time a new game is announced, the first thing we see is OMG GOKU FIGHTING VEGETA. Do you really realize just how often this is, though? I went back to the previous console generation (Xbox 360 / PlayStation 3) and took a look at the initial announcement for every single game. Like, really took a look at them. I grabbed the screen shot which was the main focus from each splash (cropping out identifying marks). Play along. Let's see how well you do. Some might be easier than others, but still. It really gives you a good idea as to just how vicious this cycle is... and how similar it was to the previous generation (PlayStation 2, mainly) which did aaaallllllll the same things.
