Dragonball mini figure things!!!

Post by Mochi » Fri Mar 05, 2004 5:59 pm

I went to this place online and ordered these new dragonball figures that come with 5 pieces of candy that taste like banana yogurt! well, the candy's not important, but the figures are really cool! They're characters from dragonball and there's 16 of them. and they're really detailed, but they're only 2 inches high. and i got the rare colored goku! ^.^ you can buy them at http://www.extremecollectables.com/drficapa.html.
Yes... I am... but you don't know that...

Yes those kinds of figures are a very common product in Japan. I myself like collecting Gashapons. There level of detail is amazing too.

I've got the first Megahouse collection. The ones that come in replicas of the dragonballs. They depict scenes from the Saiyajin saga. There's one of Vegita and Nappa when they arrive, Goku holding Gohan at Kame House, Vegita in Oozaru form attack Goku, Goku chasing Bubbles, Goku facing off against Vegita, Goku, when he's holding up a broken and defeated Nappa, and the saddest and most touching scene in the saga, Piccolo blocking Nappa's attack against Gohan. They really are wonderful figures. I'm still waiting for set 2, which depicts scenes from the Namek saga. 8)

Yep! It's actually good to wait about two months from the time they first appear though before buying them though. The price is usually around $80 US for the set. If you wait though, eventually the price goes down. Next iit's $50, then it"s $40, and so on. I waited and got the set for $35.99 US. Imagine the poor saps that spent twice that just so they could be the first to have them! Now that's a true nerd! Also, don't be fooled into buying from the sellers that sell the pieces individually. They're a rip-off! :x

Edit: Hey Mochi! Found something for ya! Take a look!

No, Megahouse has just done set 2 which covers the Namek saga, so I suspect you'll have to wait until they get to probably a set 6 before that.

It depends if I like the scenes or the "look" of the figures. I'm mostly into the Megahouse ones, although Banpresto and Bandai make interesting ones too. Ahem, my current disposable income at the time also sort of dictates what I'll buy. I'm also a little bit into cel collecting, plus with collecting the DVDs themselves and DB music, although I'm almost done with that part, and also with me currently trying to resist the urge to buy the "20th Anniversary Optimus Prime" figure, it gets down too deciding what you want more. Not to mention the other anime and manga I'm into. :? *sigh* This is why I'm poor! :(

Well, you know. I'm just making up crap. It's not even japanese anymore...

Come on, let me in on the banana yogurt candy! I mean, yeah, classic tiny DB moments on your dresser is nice and all, but come on! This is banana we're talking about!

And there was 5 of them? Sweet deal.

Heh heh... Yep, bananas are the best. Accually, one of my friends said the candy tasted like lemon cookies. O.o But in any case, they're tasty. I'm saving the wrappers, too. They have chibi Goku on them. ^_^

If they're all the same, sell 4 of them on eBay. Sup4r turbo money ultra. Or... at least a few cents.
