[Fanfic] Miscalculation

So I'm finally making a thread for my fanfic. Why make a thread for a fanfic I started 7 years ago, you ask? Because I'm getting very close to actually finishing the damn thing! Seriously, the final scenes are being written, and it should be done by the end of the month. I figured making a public declaration of the deadline would be a better motivator than me trying to keep to deadlines I decide on privately (clearly, if you look at the chapter notes for most chapters, that just didn't work )

This fanfic cover the well-trodden path of how Vegeta and Bulma ended up together. I know it's one of the most common fanfic topics (at least, it used to be...I honestly haven't read much fanfiction in the past 10 years!), but I still wanted to put my own version of events out there, since nothing I had read really matched the way I pictured it going down. This story is rated M for some scenes of mature content, and there are currently 8 chapters available. If you haven't already read it, or want to refresh your memory before the final chapter comes out, enjoy!

Haha I'll look into it. Hopefully you wont too mean to Yamcha though, most Bulma/Vegeta shippers are.

I'm not that mean to Yamcha, I swear! I really do like him, and am quite appalled at the way most shippers demonize him. It may not seem like it in the earlier chapters, but he's truly not meant to be the villain of my story.

And an update: as of a couple hours ago, I've finished writing the fanfic! Now I just need edit the monster of a chapter I wrote, plus check if previous chapters need any edits (I always go back and check all the chapters, often making minor changes of phrasing that make absolutely no difference, but make me feel like I'm improving the fic nonetheless :p On the other hand, I sometimes find typos that have been sitting there for literally years, and hang my head in embarrassment as I fix them). So probably sometime early tomorrow, the whole thing will be ready to post!

It's kind of hard to buy Goku and Vegeta in romantic situations though, but we shall see...

It's a pretty huge chapter compared to the rest (double the length of some of them). But I needed a lot of words to wrap everything up. So please, if anyone is so inclined, enjoy my tale of accidental romance that weaves in drama, humor, and--of course!--sexy time.
