Beerus vs. SSJ3 Vegetto scenario...

Post by Low Tone G » Mon Sep 08, 2014 5:56 am

I would image a Beerus vs. SSJ3 Vegetto like this:

Vegetto would appear as Base Vegetto before Beerus, and Beerus would say something like this:

"Oh, It's really impressive that a normal Saiyan(referring to Vegetto's base form) can be that immensly powerful, not even Frieza would stand a chance."
Vegetto: "Yeah, that's it! And this is not all, I can go even further beyond(powers up to SSJ).
Beerus: "Wow, that's an enormous power, I'm quite shocked!"
Vegetto: "Really? Should I go back to my Base form?"
Beerus: "That's just fine! Let's start it!"
Vegetto flies amazingly quick towards Beerus and tries to punch him in face, but Beerus blocks it with two hands. Vegetto is surprised, he could have done it because he did it really fast.
Beerus: "That was quite fast! But can you keep up with this speed?" He appeares before Vegetto's face, who tries to kick him, but Beerus disappeares.
Vegetto: "How could he dodge that? That was my fastest move and I was really close to hit him! He had no way to dodge that from this distance! Could he be faster than light?"
Beerus: "Shocked? And I'm not even using any of my full power!"
Vegetto: "Do not underestimate me! I have never really thought to go this far, but you left me no choice!" Powers up to SSJ2 for the first time, he does quite longer than he did eariler for SSJ1.
Beerus: "Yeah, this is getting interesting! Now you are my real match!"
Vegetto: "This is a form that I've never shown to anybody, you should feel privileged!" And he appeares before Beerus and lands a hit in his stomach, and another one on his face, which makes Beerus bleed a bit.
Beerus: Is thinking: "Should I take the fight more seriously? Maybe, he will turn SSJ-God? He is right one step behind to be a real match for me".
Vegetto: Is hitting him without stopping, which makes Beerus bleeding even more.
Beerus: "That was enough!" And he kicks Vegetto apart.
Vegetto: Is on his knees.
Beerus: Grabs his hair, and says: "I was obliged to use over 30% of my power to overcome you, you should be happy that you could do that! But now it's over for you! You're not that Super Saiyan God either.
Vegetto: "There is one more chance for me to surpass you, and I surely will, you'll see!" Powers up really hardly to SSJ3. Meanwhile Beerus decides to wait for it peacefully. The power-up took 5 minutes to perform...
Beerus: You surely did it, and you're not even a God!!!
Vegetto: Is about to make an effort to attack Beerus, but in that moment he reverts back to SSJ2! And he is thinking this way: "I really hoped it won't happen, but I felt it just in my eariler form, the level of Ki I'm using is surpassing me, my body can't resist it, it's a luck, it didn't kill me."
Beerus: "Now I realise what happened to you... Having a high Ki hardly makes you a God! You can not sustain that power because it's too dangerous even for you!
Vegetto: "You're right! I surrender!"

Yes, I can imagine a mortal power to surpass Beerus, but that would be useless though!

Edit: My power levels are something like this:

SSJ3 Goku 0.01
Base Vegetto 0.03
SSJ Vegetto 1.5
SSJ2 Vegetto 3
SSJ3 Vegetto 12
Beerus 10
Whis 15

I figure Beerus is just plain stronger than anything seen in DBZ (including forms that should've been possible but didn't actually show up in the series, like SSj2 and SSj3 Vegerot)... but y'know what, I actually kinda like this scenario too now that I think about it.

It's almost like a perfect balance between the irrational fanboy desire to want Vegerot stronger than any opponent ever and the more-realistic "hey, uh, it's supposed to be a stated fact that nothing Goku can pull off--short of SSj God--would be able to fight this guy. He even outright says fusion wouldn't do it, and he already tried SSj3 earlier so why wouldn't he think of SSj3 fusion?" SSj3 Vegerot ends up stronger than Beerus, but it's really only in the sense that super-bulked-up Trunks was stronger than Cell or SSj3 Goku was stronger than Kid Buu, because he still can't do anything to finish the fight due to the form's weaknesses.

THX, man! To be honest, this scenario I've made up, is the most optimistic one of what could Vegetto do against the God Ki. To be more realistic, I can imagine Beerus being totally above SSJ3 Vegetto. In my case, I used some of Toriyama's comments about Ki(mortal Ki). He said that Ki was introduced in Dragon Ball story to overcome the limit of physical strength(which is based only on muscles) ifself, what's very low. But he added that controlling Ki is also important, meaning that should be a limit of Ki when it becomes uncontrolable even for the strongest fusions. I believe that beyond that limit exists that Godly Realm of power, which was introduced by the recent movie. Going by this logic, it removes the fanboy belief that Godly Ki is infinite or even beyond the infinite  . I think the Godly Ki was introduced to replace the normal Ki not only to be more powerful than that, but also to be way more stable, removing its weakness as it becomes unstable in a way.

P.S.: I like your way to call Vegetto: Vegerot :) , I've always liked it better, but the Vegetto was more often used by many.

Consider me not one of those who thinks Beerus > SSJ3 Vegetto.

It's undeniable that godly Ki is a good deal stronger than normal Ki but it's clear that it can fluctuate as much as normal Ki as shown with the East Kaioshin being threatened down by a SSJ1 Goku. If godly Ki was that much stronger than normal Ki then Kaioshin shouldn't have felt threatened by Goku's intimidation seeing as Piccolo acknowledges that Kaioshin is worlds above him when Piccolo himself is possibly Grade 2 SSJ tier.

Personally I think Beerus is as strong as he is due to his own personal strength, most likely brought on from training under Whis. yes godly Ki plays a part in it as well but again, I don't think the Ki alone is the reason for Beerus's strength.

Not only that, but how much stronger Beerus is than Super Vegetto is also unknown. Which is why I personally operate off the following -

Super Vegetto < Beerus

SSJ2 Vegetto = Beerus

SSJ3 Vegetto > Beerus

Indeed and Kaio has a PL of only 3500 if I remember correctly.

At least these have some strength (Kaioshin is one of the strongest in the universe, and Kaio can at least kill non-elite space warriors). Look at Dende!

Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I figure godly Ki is basically added on as a boost on top of your regular ki when you become a god (since we know that pretty much none of the DB gods start out as gods, oddballs like Enma possibly being the only exception), but how much of a boost varies depending on just what kind of god you are and how strong you were before the boost. Sort of like how "drawn out potential" boosts only bring 100s-level characters into the higher 100s, and 1000s-level characters into the tens of thousands... but they can make someone who's already likely to be in the billions get a much, much bigger boost than that (Gohan for example.)

Gods of Creation don't need as much in the way of raw power, since their power is mostly used indirectly (creating their magical godly palaces, restoring moons/planets, whatever it is the Kaioshin do to help make new stars/planets generate) and they don't often get into fights. The Kaioshin probably get a much bigger boost than the other "creation-type" gods since they do sometimes go out and track down dangerous opponents personally rather than relying on the people of their world/galaxy to handle threats like the planetary gods and Kaios, so the Kaioshin and those who work directly under them are the only ones who end up in the millions. Shinjin from golden fruit are probably born stronger than regular Shinjin to begin with, too, so even those who don't end up being Kaioshin (I assume this is what Kibito is--he's only ever described as the "East Kaioshin's attendant," but he looks so much like the other Shinjin/Kaioshin characters that there's no reason to assume that his appearance is a coincidence) are still pretty tough in comparison to lesser gods.

On the other hand, Gods of Destruction use their power to blow stuff up, and there's only one of them per universe rather than dividing up duties among several--so they need to be MUCH stronger to be able to cover so much area and blow stuff up so quickly. It's no big deal if a Kaio is weaker than a bunch of strong warriors within his galaxy because he'll never meet those guys (afterlife training sessions aside, but that apparently doesn't happen very often), but a God of Destruction needs to be strong enough to blow up planets and stars as well as strong enough to handle any resistance from their inhabitants. Whis also offers the God of Destruction position to Goku, so we have a general idea of how strong somebody needs to be before someone is considered for the position (people who met Beerus/Whis but weren't considered: both King and Prince Vegeta, and possibly first-form Freeza. So we know that tens or even hundreds of thousands don't cut it when it comes to qualifying for the God of Destruction job. Beerus would have to have been in the millions even before gaining the huge boost of godly ki when he became God of Destruction.)

Super Saiyan God would sort of fall into the "destructive" category too, since it is a form intended to be used for fighting (to protect rather than to destroy, but still--fighting requires a lot of power.)

Finally, man, finally! Someone can see what is the difference between the two types of Godly Ki. The Godly Ki is nothing(mostly) other than a very high ranked skill to create or destroy. So if Kaioshins do possess Godly skills to create, than the Hakaishin (Beerus) uses it to destroy stuff. They are on the same rank in a way in the hierarchy of 7th Universe. As Saiyans are the people of war, they are not granted to create things when they become a God, but rahter to destroy, even if they are pure of heart. So if the Godly Ki is more like a skill than a battle force or both of them, than it's more stable than the normal Ki, which should have a limit of stability.

The Kaios and Kaioshins do possess significant normal Ki too(granted Goku can sense them) in order to keep up the peace against lower-ranked beings, Frieza, Buu should be some examples of them. None of lower-beings are suppoesed to threaten the intergalactic peace, that's why Kaioshins are singificantly stronger than Frieza for example. Only one being has right to destroy in universe, that's the Hakaishin, the God of Destruction. We can see that even the Hakaishin can be handled by an even stronger being, the attendant, Whis. So the balance is granted.

I also think Beerus would be stronger, but I am confused about one part in your post:
Beerus: "That was enough!" And he kicks Vegetto apart.
Wouldn't that kill him?

Did it kill Ultimate Gohan and Mr. Buu? Or Vegeta?

Right away I wrote that Beerus was obliged to use slightly over 30% of his power to owerwhelm SSJ2 Vegetto.

Well by "kicked apart" I read "kicked so hard his body is torn apart". Buu could survive that but Vegeto couldn't.

I'm guessing he doesn't mean literally kicked to pieces, just hit really hard and injured. Like how kicking the crap out of someone usually doesn't mean literally kicking them until they poop themselves. XD

Yeah.... I meant that Vegetto was kicked away or kicked to the other side. I used apart just to say that Vegetto was kicked to be apart from Beerus. I'm guessing the first meaning(or a meaning of it) of apart is away from somebody/something or other side. But I guees that I should have used away to be clear.

I've found this meaning for apart in google translate:
(of two or more people or things) separated by a distance; at a specified distance from each other in time or space.
"his parents are now living apart"
sinonime: away from each other, distant from each other

I interpreted it as a kick that got him pretty damaged. Similar to "kicking the crap out of him".

I don't think there is such thing like Godly ki. It looks more like a realm of power so distant that it is hard to be felt by lesser beings. I'm suggesting there is a limit for one's ability to measure others' ki. The more you get close to such realm, the more you can sense the power of a god, like Beerus. It grants you also a better understanding of every single being's power. The reference: Beerus measuring Goku's power and comparing it with Freeza's. Of course, if there is a realm that far surpass the level of these gods I could apply the same logic.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's outright said that godly ki is a different type of ki. It's not just a matter of "if you're only this strong, you can't even sense people above this point way up here." It does get harder to compare powers way above yours when you're really far behind (like in the #19 fight where the humans only see that sick SSj Goku is still way past them or the base Saiyans, but Piccolo--who's much closer to SSj level than base Saiyan or human level--figures out right away that Goku's weaker than normal and getting even weaker by the minute), but never to the point where you can't detect their power at all or compare it to others.
It's just harder to notice the relatively-smaller changes when your point of reference is so far below the powers involved. For example, the SSj2s/SSj3s would be able to notice that Buu was stronger after absorbing Piccolo but somebody like Yamcha would probably only be able to see that he's hopelessly outmatched by Buu to the point where a relatively small increase like that wouldn't even register.

"Weird ki" being undetectable isn't a new concept, either. The Androids had their artifical ki-like energy which nobody else could sense, Yamu and Spopovich's ki couldn't be felt at all initially and just gave the others a weird/creepy feeling instead, and the East Kaioshin seemingly couldn't be sensed by anyone there but Piccolo (and even with him, it may have been more of a matter of "sensing that he's a god due to lingering Kami influence" rather than a simple "sensing his exact power.") Basically, anything that alters or replaces the user's natural ki might make it hard or impossible for others (especially those without that altered form of ki) to detect using normal means of ki sensing.

Also... the initial attempt at SSj God (without Videl/Pan-Fetus) only resulted in Goku getting a big boost from the infusion of the other Saiyans' ki... which is then said to be not the same as gaining godly ki, just a boost in the regular ki that Goku already had. If becoming SSj God was just a matter of getting a huge boost to regular ki, they'd only comment that the boost wasn't big enough rather than coming out and saying that it not only wasn't big enough, but wasn't even the right kind of power-up.

Basically it was ever stated that Kaioshin is a being that can not sensed only by some special beings like Piccolo (who possibly should have some skills being fused with Kami)?
In Battle of Gods movie it's pretty well proven that Goku can sense King Kai and Kibito Kai also, as he can access him via Shinkai Ido( I.T.). I think even if Kibito Kai is a real God, Goku doesn't seem have his God Ki the way he can access, but rather his battle power(Yes, I think Kibito Kai has some battle power too in addtion to Godly Creation soul/skill/Ki). I can see that Beerus has Destructive God Ki and Kaioshins have Creation-type of it. As I said before, I think the Kais/Kaioshins were given some battle power too, to not only be able to create, but also defend themselves against lower beings, and to defend some other things that should be protected by them, for example they should protect planets, and life-forms.
